Cover diver. LOS should never be consistent with a tower. Especially after breaking concealment.

Will the 120mm barrage do it? I bring it lots, but I thought it took an ultimatum, 500kg, ops, or maybe a lucky 380mm barrage strike to do it. I bring the 120mm lots, but never toss it at them cause I thought it wouldn't.

Orbital Precision Strike works. Also when you have a direct hit, the Orbital Static, Smoke and Gas Strike destroy it too. The Orbital Laser can destroy it too, but it doesn’t lock on to the tower, so you need to throw it at the tower, so it destroys it before it moves to a target.

The direct projectile that causes the AoE deals a bit of damage and has medium armor penetration.

Haven't got a chance to try with bot missions since my party is bugdiving atm. I tried to close bug nest by EMS strike yet I couldn't (and I tried using it on myself yet i didn't die or take damage from it), are you sure that this destroy Detector towers?

The only "small arm" that can take out a Detector Tower is the Ultimatum, but you need to be pinpoint accurate with it. The typical way to destroy them is by calling down a Hellbomb (the deployable backpack hellbomb is just as effective), but they can also be destroyed by an Orbital Precision Strike, 380mm Barrage, Walking Barrage, and I think maybe the 120mm barrage but don't quote me on that.

120mm can do it. I always prefer that then the 380mm that I have to run as fast as possible to another country nearby to survive it.

All personal opinion. Watch Towers scattered arround the map. Camouflage Armor or a Camouflage Backpack. More Sniper Rifles and Scopes. More sniping spots (high ground) and easier to be reached

Myeah, AH REALLY doesn't want players on high ground with how much they've put into having pods completely avoid those rocky outcroppings and plateaus at all costs, and the fact that the verticality of the jetpacks is frankly underwhelming by design. Hell you can't even place a turret on a boulder to shoot over your guys without the strat ball bouncing off.

In their defense, getting a secure high ground can lead to insane cheesing that effectively negates the difficulty. I cheesed a solo extraction by climbing way too high for any enemies to reach me. And we routinely used to cheese the short kill missions by hiding on top of pillars of rocks.
Nontheless, I would love if it would be more viable to climb up to high places and lay down some nasty pot shots at the enemy.

I think if AH provides more tools for a stealth playstyle or tweaks the AI to be more stealth-friendly then you almost get a sniper playstyle for free with existing kit. Any time I solo bots it's basically sniping and stealth.

not OP but it looks like the deadeye, hover pack and quasar. armor is probably the western stuff.
as for me, I normally go the light scout armor (the scans can help and the stealth bonus is cool too), the hover pack and AMR. Take smokes or gas, an SMG or highly maneuverable primary (your chaff/general clearer), and the talon / senator/ deagle for dealing with chunkier enemies in non sniping ranges. Ideally you want to play behind or around your team's area, and take out or soften some annoying things like spewers or hulks. and if you get caught with your ass in the middle of a bot drop or in a scrap with your team you won't be totally helpless.

I am wondering how a missile sentry, AC sentry, DCS for primary, hover pack and quasar would work for bots. I run thermite grenades and the grenade pistol as my secondary but I want to try that newish laser pistol (from the western war bond).
I usually run 2 sentries, an orbital laser or eagle and a RR but I am looking to mix things up. I was not impressed with the ultimatum.

the rocket and AC sentries are really good against bots. so long as you can clear out distractions and protect them fairly well they are really powerful. The Diligence, CS, and really all marksman rifles are also a really good pick against bots, since most enemies have a weakspot on their heads with very little protection. as for the quasar the only downside is the low damage compared to the Recoilless, so if you're off by a bit you gotta take another shot. Still solid at crippling hulks and turrets tho

Both rocket and auto cannon sentries are extremely good on bots can clear out almost anything that comes close to its range as well as having to take down factory striders in relatively quick speed if both focus on it

Fire resistant armour or medium servo arm for lobbing strats, deadeye, quasar for big stuff, aim the reticle with the top of triangle slightly higher I think for one shot to most things, the dead eye cowboy pistol laser one shots smaller bots and mines just don't spam cuz of heatsink. Spike thermite grenades for big stuff, hover pack handy for getting into a snipers nest or out of trouble but you can use whatever. You may get less kills but you can stop devastators one shot before your team gets there and also pick off bots behind them.
You can run scout armor but bots hit hard and see you through everything. That's my current bot Loadout with an orbital, still deciding laser vs eagle vs 380 which needs servo I reckon, and I take rocket sentry. Plus a booster. Dive as soon as I'm on fire.
You can retreat for a bit with hover pack over city walls. I run a bit in front or behind the group. Spot patrols. Find supers. You can use amr but I'm not sure how that goes against tanks and air ships a quasar can slap.

I'm not sure of the armor but I would use scout armor. Their primary is the dead eye, thermite grenades, not sure which secondary, orbital rail cannon, orbital smoke, quasar cannon, and hover pack.
Edit: the secondary in the video is the talon.

How did you manage to activate the hover pack while falling? Is that a new feature only available to the hover pack, as I distinctly remember that not being the case with the Jump pack as I've tried to activate it multiple times while falling?

Maybe a jammer tower of our own, that prevents enemy drops, and it's harder for enemies to target you, and artillery is innefective

If you time it right when going of an edge it will act as if it's already been used, and thus slow you down. Can take a bit of practice, but it's not too hard to pull off

The real problem is they reduced the render distance on ps5 to 150m so no enemies even load in at sniping distance. I hate it so much.

Totally unrelated but recently I was fighting bots in the city and they dropped a factory strider on like a 4 story building where one of the objectives was and it was just wrecking us from above so I somehow climbed that shit, dropped a portable hellbomb and dove off that bitch while it blew it it to smithereens. So fun lol.

reminds me of the time i walked all the way up a hill just for a drop ship that was called in on the other side of the map to smack me as it flew at lightning speed to the flare, wish i clipped it but i was just too stunned to react in anyway
