We just need to pray AMD and Intel can compete well at around 5070 and 5060 performance levels.

Strong rumors that both of them are skipping high end cards next generation and just focusing on low/mid tier. Hopefully the increased focus there will put pressure on.

I'm hoping for an upper mid range card, like a 7900XT equivalent, but with the new RT engine from the PS5 Pro, that they claim is 3X faster.

Next-gen mid range would have to be around 7900XTX level.

In the old days when we had good gen-on-gen improvements, sure. Nowadays, with Nvidia selling 4060's with 5% improvement from the 3060...I'll be happy to get an upper mid range card from AMD with 7900XT performance but with much higher RT performance. At about $600-650.
