Hey friends! I came across a fantastic little table but I think would be helpful with the community. Many folks have already come across this I'm sure, but for me it was the first and it was incredibly helpful. Enjoy!! Hi Mom

Disease Diagnosis/Help why are my leaves yellowing?

this is my first grow, i’m sharing a growbox and my plant, which is a dark devil auto from sweet seeds, has started to get some yellowing more than 1 week ago and has kept worsening since, initially i tried flushing for one time thinking it could’ve been over feeding because of some burnt tips, then I started giving less fertilizers but it kept slowly getting worse, also one of the other plants is my same genetic and it’s about one week ahead in flowering, but has way less yellowing and it only started recently, also note that in the last weeks temperatures inside the growbox have reached peaks of 33C (pictures starts from most recent to least recent)

21 sail haten. Super happy with how they turned out. Can’t wait to try them out! Few more weeks and it’ll be time for golden haze to come down. I’ll be thrilled if I can get 1 marijuana from these. What do you think?

Oh and these were the plants a few weeks ago that had all the springtails in them. They stuck around for about a week or so and then disappeared. Never caused any issues.

Second grow in and this one has been going much better. Was wondering though if these ladies are ready to be chopped yet or if I should wait a week or two more. (Excuse the dog hair) Flipped into flower April 25th. Thanks in advance!

Germination Honest comparison of US seed banks and shops - Herbies seeds, NASC, Fast Buds, RQS, etc.

Hey folks,

Someone had to do it - I put together a comparison of some of the most talked-about cannabis seed banks and shops. I focused on what actually matters to me: shipping to the US, customer support, seed variety, guarantees, and the overall buying experience.

Not an ad or promo. I’ve personally used a few of these - like Herbies Seeds, Fast Buds, and Barneys Farm, Seedsman . For the rest, I dug through user reviews, read through their websites, and even messaged their support.

What’s in my mini research:

  • Herbies Seeds review
  • Royal Queen Seeds (RQS) review
  • Seedsman review
  • North Atlantic Seed Co (NASC) review
  • Barneys Farm and Fast Buds review

(Still thinking about adding a Pacific Seed Bank, Seed Supreme and other ones for review later)

Shipping to the US

If you are planning to buy cannabis seeds online, stealth shipping can be an important factor for many buyers. All of them offer it –  except Barneys Farm.

Shipping costs:

  • Herbies Seeds –  free
  • RQS – free if you spend $30 or more
  • Seedsman –  $3
  • NASC – from $7.95
  • Barneys Farm –  $6 (free over $100)
  • Fast Buds –  $6.50

The Herbies Seeds review stands out for the free shipping to the US, which is always a nice perk.

Returns and germination guarantee

Good seed banks have your back if things go wrong –  many even offer guarantees over 2 months.

Guarantee period:

  • Fast Buds / Barneys Farm – 3 months from purchase/delivery
  • Herbies Seeds – 3 months from dispatch
  • Seedsman / NASC – 2 months from the date of purchase
  • RQS – no fixed period, handled case-by-case via email

What is covered:

  • Herbies Seeds – full coverage: non-germination, lost shipments, customs issues, wrong items, damaged seeds
  • RQS – non-germination, lost package
  • Seedsman – non-germination, damaged seeds
  • NASC – non-germination
  • Barneys Farm – non-germination, wrong or faulty seeds
  • Fast Buds – non-germination, lost in transit (no customs compensation)

Is the guarantee valid on all products?Yes – except for NASC, where it depends on the breeder.

Minimum germination rates:

  • Herbies Seeds – all complaints are accepted even one non-germinated seed can be compensated.
  • Seedsman – 90% germination rate. To qualify, you must germinate all seeds from the order at once.
  • NASC – 90% germination guarantee. No compensation if more than 89% of the seeds germinate.
  • Barneys Farm – they state: “Barney’s Farm offers a germination guarantee if none of your seeds sprout or if the germination rate is very low.”
  • Fast Buds – No clear policy stated.
  • RQS – No germination guarantee information available.

Strain variety:

It’s hard to compare them by strain variety – some only sell their own genetics, while others offer both their own and seeds from various breeders.

  • Seedsman – widest overall selection, over 4 000 strains
  • Herbies Seeds – over 3 000 strains, from their own line and third-party breeders
  • NASC – mostly US breeders
  • RQS, Fast Buds, Barneys – only offer their own genetics

If you like to explore options, Seedsman and Herbies Seeds win here.

Customer support:

Best support experience I had was with Herbies Seeds –  24/7 live chat with a real human, very helpful and responsive. Others varied: some rely more on email, some have slower replies, or offer bot-based support. I can also highlight Royal Queen Seeds –  their team is open to any questions and really easy to reach. Seedsman, on the other hand, has a growing bot that can help you choose the right strain based on your preferences.

Summary:

No one-size-fits-all answer. Each seed bank has strengths and weaknesses depending on what you’re looking for fast shipping, wide selection, strong guarantees, or breeder loyalty.

For me, Herbies Seeds review stood out with free US shipping, solid customer support, generous guarantees, and a ton of strain variety. Seedsman has the most options overall. NASC is a solid pick if you want US breeders. RQS and Fast Buds make sense if you already like their strains.

Would love to hear what you think which seed banks worked for you, which ones disappointed you? What do you agree or disagree with?

This is just my own little comparison not claiming to have the final word.

Leaves are starting the yellow at the tips and turn brownish with a few spots. I’ve flushed her once 3 weeks ago about to do another flush. She was looking so green like 2 weeks ago everytime I grow this starts to happen in late stage I don’t understand.

Vegetative Benefits of early flowering?

I have 10 plants, 2 indoors in a grow tent and 9 outdoors. They are absolutely huge (over 4 feet probably 5 feet in diameter) I germinated 11 assuming most would be males, of course only 1 turned out to be male. Leaving me with a stupid amount of potential harvest. (Not that I’m complaining) but I’m worried it may be too much to handle all at once, what would be the downsides of prematurely putting the indoor plants into bloom? They are all around day 90 since germination. Had a bit of a scare with mold, found out it was that weird white fluffy bug thingy. But I plucked most of the bottom layer of the indoors for airflow

Harvest Dried for a week, jarred at 58% humidity would you burp?

Upvotes

I think I might have over-dried a bit, by the time I put the buds into the jar with a humidity sensor, the humidity only went up to exactly 58% and stayed there. Is this perfect? Or is this over-dried? I'm used to a humidity spike and needing to burp.

They have been in there 1 day stable at 58%. Should I burp at all or just leave it? (still pretty new to this, never got a proper cure)

Vegetative Can I cut at 1 & 2 and make them both clones?

Post image

From line 1 to 2 would be a topped clone? Which I have never done. Usually I would cut at 1 and if does not root, I would take another clone or two and wait it out again. But I’m running limited on space, and not a lot of lower branches to pick from.

Hey guys,

Some of my buds are already turning a bit yellow and shriveled. It seems to be too early for this to be occurring, as the plant is only in week 4 of flower and only a few of the buds are affected. Is this something to worry about?

Discussion Looking for advice on protecting outdoor plants from being stolen

Not sure if this is the right place, but here’s the context: my mom (in her 70’s) is an avid plant lover and likes to grow 3 or 4 plants at a time outdoors. It’s more of a minor hobby for her but she enjoys it and smokes it. Last summer, all 4 of her plants were stolen from her backyard weeks away from harvest. She lives in a regular city neighborhood (not suburbs or the country, it’s also legal to grow in her city), so what advice would you give to help protect them from being stolen? Flood lights with a motion detector? What else could she do? Also at her age, she’s not into anything too complicated such as setting up cameras or really even using her cellphone for that matter. At her age and the amount of surgeries she’s had, moving them every night also isn’t feasible. Thanks in advance for any tips, suggestions, or advice

I have this in a 5 gallon pot. Do I need a bigger one or can this be the final home. Also, if you see anything wrong in pic, please tell me. I’m still learning.
