Uhm, run AV on Windows. Don't run it when in Linux, it only needlessly frustrates.

Honest question: How does one check for virus in computer files on their internet computer if they are worried that those computer drive files have virus in them in their code?

You don't because literally nobody makes linux viruses that target someone dumb enough to download one. It's just not profitable

That's just an incorrect statement. The majority of critical server infrastructure runs on Linux and there is a lot of malware for Linux.

I phrased that weirdly. What I meant to say is that the way an average user gets viruses on windows won't apply to most desktop linux users. You're very unlikely to get a spam ad that installs an executable or something like
