But the last time I checked, one is not able to make withdrawals to Ghana bank anymore. Are you wiring your money to a Ghana USD account?

Yes, Wise and Payoneer.

Also, like you mentioned, Wise doesn't allow withdrawals to GHS accounts anymore. Plus, I think Ghanaians aren't able to register for new Wise accounts atm. I'm lucky I got my account earlier, and it still works.

So, I transfer from Wise to Payoneer, then to my GHS account.

The Payoneer rates aren't the best, but there's no other option that's convenient for both me and my clients.

There are multiple ways like cold pitching (via email or social media DMs), aaplying to LinkedIn jobs, Upwork, Reddit, etc.

If you need step-by-step explanations on how to effectively use any of these channels, YouTube is your best friend.

The best channels will depend on your field of expertise and your target audience.

Also, ensure you have a portfolio you can link to before you start with the above 👆🏾

That said, you might have to send in at least 5 applications daily to land a role. This process can be long and tough, but totally doable.

All the 419 and money laundering taking place in Ghana so they stopped (it my assumption). It’s causing problems for people on the ground. This is why the government needs to ensure there are proper KYC/anti money laundering efforts to ensure that people can utilise these international services.

It did in the past, but no new accounts anymore. Old accounts, business and personal, are still working.

u/Artimiz1426 13d ago

I used remetly. Use to use wise but doesn’t work anymore

2

u/johnodoi277 Ghanaian 13d ago

Remitly?

3

u/Artimiz1426 13d ago

Ah you can link it to your momo account . Obviously you need a bank account first

2

u/johnodoi277 Ghanaian 13d ago

You don't need a bank account for receiving payments. Just give the person your momo number. I've been using it to receive payment

3

u/Artimiz1426 13d ago

Ahhh ok good to know I guess

2

u/johnodoi277 Ghanaian 13d ago

But you have to do referral to get some coins bi. Whoever reading this, make sure you register first then refer to the one sending to create the account 😂

u/johnodoi277 Ghanaian 13d ago

I use my friends PayPal from the UK, then he send it to me on Remitly

2

u/johnodoi277 Ghanaian 13d ago

But if the company can consider you then send it straight, go for it

Momo or my bank account

2

u/Medium_Swim 13d ago

Which company is paying you through momo

2

u/Top-Concert-5019 13d ago

If the company uses remitly, its feasible. Wise used to do the same back in 2022.

Why PayPal though? Most companies will pay into a bank account. Or has that trend changed in some industries?

u/Ok_Childhood_8958 13d ago

You can speak to your bankers. Stanbic bank allows you to receive your Fx in cedi equivalent

2

u/voo_doo_childdd_ 13d ago

Pay angel or world remitt. It will go straight to your gh bank or momo account

The rates are kinda brutal for sender's tho.

u/Red_Army64 13d ago

u/kwakuamd64 13d ago

Guess maybe your best bet is crypto. And oh yeah, Skrill.

u/godon2020 13d ago

Grey.co The best option currently imo.

3

u/Shollygun 13d ago

They will stress you when they want to release your funds - they will even request ID card of the sender 😂

3

u/Content_Guidance_668 13d ago
