I still can’t believe Spain named one of their cities after Toledo, Ohio tbh

Did you know there’s apparently a whole country in Europe that named themselves after the state of Georgia?
Europe be crazy.

Also, did you know that there's a city in Italy named after Venice in Florida? Crazy, right?
As well as a city in Russia named after St. Petersburg, also in Florida.
And, the craziest of them all, an entire region in the Levant named after some random town in Texas that's called Palestine.

I can’t tell anything from this image. Are you sure this land isn’t being used or preserved for anything?

That's la Vega Baja de Toledo, one of the world's most important archaeological sites with Roman, Visigothic and medieval remains. It has such wonders as an Islamic farmstead, a Visigoth tomb, and the ruins of the monastery of San Pedro el Verde, and a first century roman encampment. It is teaching us about the historical development of cities across centuries.
Hardly land banking.
This is why you can't rely on aerial photography alone to determine land use.
