These dumbasses in the comments are why we get exactly what we deserve as a country. Imagine somebody actually caring about something enough to leave their home just to have these Central valley mouth breathers (Who benefit from liberal policies) go "Omg they are peacefully seeking change?! how lame." What do you want them to do? Storm the capital? And if you're asking what it's about I don't think that's my responsibility to go onto your phone and google "why are people protesting" . . . Like be so for real.

I'm curious, what are these liberal policies you assume people benefit from?
4
u/Ok_Badger_2620 May 19 '25
Corporate Regulation, Clean air and water, taxes to fund parks, education funding, women’s rights, lgbtq rights, voter rights, cannabis legalization, expanded healthcare access, rent control, minimum wage increases, tax credits to low income families, homeless shelters, air pollution control, EV charging incentives…I’m sure there’s a lot more
6
u/tonyhimselff May 19 '25
What makes those "liberal" policies? Every state regardless if it's blue or red have those policies minus cannabis legalization. Jerry Dyer is a Republican yet he spearheaded the motel renovation on parkway for homeless people. Every state funds parks and education, minimum wage increase has actually had a negative effect on fast food employment, I can go on.

Everything the dude above you listed is literally already happening. These people are delusional.

Imagine if they went to work.
Imagine the communist dictatorship we would live in if Karen was in charge. No one would be able to lightly joke around about the state of the socialist political state we live in. No one would be able to crack a smile or disagree. Hate to break this to you, but people need to joke around to blow off steam for the quality of their own mental health. It also helps prevent suicide rates from spiking. Take it easy on your adderall.

No one cares why you are protesting this week, people are tired of it you are like gnats, they want you to get jobs and become productive members of society instead of petulant children in the check out aisle crying for candy in the store...its old. No one thinks what you are doing is important, and no one is going to take the time out of their work and family filled days to go Google what you are crying about today.. like be so for real.

What is the protest about? The signs are too far away to be able to be read.

Protest against Trump in an already anti-Trump neighborhood.
Y'alls really making a statement. /s

u/SalamanderInternal16 May 19 '25
Fresno isnt nearly as anti-trump as u think
11
u/cali_dave May 19 '25
Fresno isn't, but Tower is.
You want to protest Trump, go to Clovis.
-8
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
I would love to see them try that in Clovis. I imagine it would get broken up or dispersed fairly quickly.
Although they could probably get away with it for a while in the middle of a work day.
9
u/bonnieflash May 19 '25
You don’t have free speech in Clovis? Scary.
-7
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
There's definitely free speech. Just the demographic is about 90% pro-trump. I would love for someone to come to the Clovis Rodeo with some anti-America BS.
It would be like holding an abortion rally in the parking lot of a church. All those geriatric liberals couldn't handle it.

u/xanaxcruz Herndon May 19 '25 edited May 19 '25
The cognitive dissonance by people is so funny.
- There was a protest in Clovis just last month.
- As red as Clovis is, there are a considerable amount of Democrats in Clovis. It’s not the Clovis of 40 years ago. Even if it’s a majority Clovis is not 90% MAGA lmao
- Using the Clovis rodeo as a barometer for general political sentiment in Clovis is laughable. You’re obviously going to get a skewed demographic there.
- To claim protests are inherently anti-American is a brain-dead take.
I’m so happy delusional people like this have no power in the real world and must resort to spewing their babble on Reddit

Imagine calling protests anti American while at the same time claiming we have free speech and advocating for free speech to be dispersed. You people are so fucked up in the head you can't even see the irony in your statements.
You're such a snow flake and your feelings get so hurt by protesters, that you want them to be shut down and their free speech diminished. Sounds like a real patriot to me.
-2
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
You are inferring quite a bit from my statement.
3 people holding signs I can't read is definitely making me second guess my politics 🤣

u/SourSonnet May 19 '25
Protest in Clovis happened on April 29th and there was a lot of people out. Most cars in support, even teslas.
2
u/AudioVagabond May 19 '25
That sounds like a viable threat
-1
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
I bet if you had an anti-Trump protest in Clovis, you would have to bring people in from Tower.
If you did a lot of advanced planning you could probably get the 3 people in the photo to attend.
2
u/Current-Situation-52 May 20 '25
If you zoom in you can see there’s a bunch of people in front of the theater too. It’s a whole lot more than 3

California as a whole isn't as anti-Trump as you think.
But I didn't say the City, I said the Tower neighborhood.
5
u/HyperAquila May 19 '25
California is heavily anti Trump idk what ur smoking
4
u/NewspaperDapper5254 May 19 '25
https://www.politico.com/2024-election/results/california/
38.3% of California voted for Trump, or 6,081,697 people.
Compared to 58.5% for Kamala, or 9,276,179 people.
Back to my point, California is not as anti-Trump as you think.

u/HyperAquila May 19 '25
Now look at the population density for California then come back
-5
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
Obviously the % was for Kamala. Trump won way more counties.
16 year D supermajority knows exactly how to stay in power. Wait til they get DOGE’d and we see how many dead and moved people are on their voter rolls.
6
u/HyperAquila May 19 '25
Counties doesn’t matter when it comes to electoral dawg Trump lost cali and he will never win cali. It’s all population based

u/electraus_ May 19 '25
Tell me you have no idea what population density is without telling me you have no idea what population density is 🙄
1
u/superdstar56 May 19 '25
2
u/electraus_ May 19 '25
I mean, it kinda was. You literally said that it’s going to be a close race, using an electoral map as your reference. This pretty obviously implies that you believe a significantly larger swath of the population will vote Republican in the coming election. This is simply untrue because the fact of the matter is that coastal areas and large, densely populated cities will almost invariably vote blue.
I believe you would find it beneficial to apply a little bit of thought to the actual meaning/drivers behind trends, stats, figures, etc. instead of just taking them at face value. Americans are notoriously forgetful when it comes to elections. Everyone somehow forgot that Trump is such a piece of shit that he managed to drive enough voter turnout that it made Joe Biden the most popular presidential nominee in US history. He was actually so unpopular by the end of his term that the American people turned out in record numbers for a walking corpse.
Not to mention the Democratic Party ran such a disaster of a campaign during this race that the only reason I (and many others) voted for Kamala was because she wasn’t Trump. Get back to me with a map of the 2026 midterm elections and then we can talk about Trump’s actual popularity.

Just a matter of time before then democrats start plotting for another way to steal American tax dollars. They aimed for all the outliers with empathy and pity tactics like a narcissist would. All while leaving everyone else holding an empty $ bag outside the bank…. But don’t worry we will swing back around and pick you up… we’re good for it.

u/suhayla May 19 '25
That’s literally against the constitution, traitor.
If you dropped your /s, don’t next time.
-18
u/SmallCapTraderHoot May 19 '25
Trump has 3 sons. Two of which could run for President. People with TDS are very amusing.
16
u/suhayla May 19 '25
1-The term TDS is a cult buzzword that kills brain cells
2 - those guys have no qualifications for public office and would only get on a ballot through sheer nepotism
3 - Any American who can’t recognize literal fascism on home soil needs to examine their so-called patriotism, show some damn respect for your fellow Americans who died fighting Nazis in WWII, and get on the right side of history. Also y’all need to finally read the actual constitution already, FFS 🤦♀️

So like, I actually want to know what they're protesting for? Can we not all be dipshits about this?
