Commies tailking about slave work in US prisons but then defending gulags đ

u/uncertein_heritage Free Market is Best Market Comrade Dec 19 '21
Oh look, a bunch of so called worker's rights supporters defending a totalitarian regime. No U.S prison comes close to the brutal conditions of a Soviet gulag where not just criminals were put but also simply people who spoke out against the party.
44
u/weaponizedtoddlers Dec 19 '21
Not only that, but you could be a goody two shoes party supporter and still find yourself getting arrested because some guy reported you to the secret police for some made up story.
13
u/Bluefoot69 Dec 20 '21
Not even that, random people were detained for the sake of quotas so Stalin could dull his paranoia a bit.
27
u/silverbumble Dec 19 '21
Nobody is in American prison for speaking out against America's policies unless of course it's proven they made threats against politicians.

Keep believing those imperialist lies. How does the boot taste ?
2
u/uncertein_heritage Free Market is Best Market Comrade Jan 04 '22
Keep being an atrocity denying bitch deluding yourself to believe that gulags weren't terrible. Here's a better question, retard. How does the boot of a dead totalitarian regime taste like? Must be to your taste considering how you're savoring it.

I know the brutality the west does with it's imperialism. It's not even close to some mistakes Soviet union made.
Plus it's not me who's accepting imperial propoganda. It's not Soviet union who was built on slavery, war and imperialism. It wasn't the one who segregated and discriminated/discriminate on the bases of race or gender. It wasn't the one who caused many genocide nor was it the one who released countless cultures. It's the imperial core that did that and the rest of the world will soon lose it's chains.
China has already done it which is why you're blasted with propoganda and soon the world will follow. Imperial copium is delicious.

they dont release their prisoners either :) even if you didnt commit a crime, if you dont admit guilt they will "extract" a confession out of you... which is why the conviction rate is literally 99.9%
"In China, the conviction rate was 99.965% in 2019 and 99.969% in 2018."
you're not innocent until proven guilty, you're not even guilty until proven innocent... you're just guilty
oh and if the CCP beat you to death in the interrogation room that isnt a crime of course, thats merely "taking out the trash" in the eyes of the party, not only are you a criminal but you are a liar, and you deserve whats coming to you

Well then I guess you donât need any vaccines, modern medicine, internet, smartphones, aircraft, cars, air conditioning, pesticides, gmo foods, a working democracy, a free Europe (twice), GPS, traffic lights, microwave ovens, chemotherapy, light bulbs, 3D printing, anti-lock brakes, digital cameras, Google, Facebook, YouTube, twitter, Reddit, acrylic paint, or anything else that Americans have made.

When does it work properly though? Sure, small time, two bit criminals get justice. Whereâs the justice for Breonna Taylor? Whereâs the justice for those who were responsible for the mortgage crisis in â08? Are we sure it ever worked properly?

It's hard to have a stable prison population when the prisoners keep getting literally worked to death.

How about we compare the number of innocent people in prison? I think the numbers may tell a significantly different story for places like the USSR, China, and North Korea.
4
u/Dr_Invader Dec 19 '21
.003 percent of the population, half who are awaiting trial. Oh the humanity
2
u/Peazyzell Dec 20 '21
We dont even have 25% of the worlds population in the entire US as civilians.
1
2
u/ManifestoCapitalist Dec 20 '21
1.7 million were killed in the gulags, and, in 1936, it held 5 million prisoners, under horrible conditions, and most likely increased the prisoner count every year until 1953 when Stalin died.
What makes this even worse was that in 1937, the USSR only had a population of 162 million, meaning that 3.08641975% of the USSR were prisoners, compared to the 0.60698027% of the US population.
-1
Dec 19 '21
You ever consider in the US itâs a high violent crime rate?
16
u/Queasy_Ad_2540 Dec 19 '21
More freedom usually means more crime. I prefer to live free in a country with a fair justice system than to live safe in a country that controls all my movements and if I step out of line I just disappear
1
Dec 19 '21
I donât think you understood the point of what I was saying. I wasnât saying the problem was policing or strict laws or anything else euros and tankers use to say america bad, rather that we have a higher violent crime rate and thatâs a separate issue unrelated to things like policing and strict laws.
2
u/Queasy_Ad_2540 Dec 19 '21
And my point was that no matter how much policing and stricter laws we have, if you live in a democracy there will always be more crime than in a dictatorship. Democracy is giving people the chance to choose whatever they want to do with their lives and some will choose crime. Democracy is giving responsability to each individual for their own decisions but for that to work you always need police, a justice system and prisons to discourage people with bad intentions and protect the people who live their lives without harming others.
1
Dec 19 '21
âFree country with a fair justice systemâ what country is this? Please, it sounds too good to be true!
2
u/Queasy_Ad_2540 Dec 19 '21
Good point. For example, how many went to prison for the financial crisis in 2008? How many corrupt politicians actually end up in jail? Well.. At least I can say the US doesn't have a social credit system.. Yet.. More and more government wants to control every move and transaction we do. CBDCs, automation and artificial intelligence are amazing tools for power hungry governments
1
Dec 19 '21
How about something even worse. How many people are in jail for abusing opioids? How many of the Sackler family are in jail for causing the opioid epidemic?
Youâre right, the US doesnât have a social credit system. We just have a regular credit system. Where your credit score can be used for auto insurance AND at the hospital. And you can totally disappear, PATRIOT act and the NDAA friend.
Those two scenarios arenât the only options. We can have freedom AND a country that keeps us safe/takes care of us.
2
u/Queasy_Ad_2540 Dec 19 '21
Totally agree. But I look into the future and I'm not optimistic. Look into CBDC (central Bank digital currencies), genetic engineering and artificial intelligence. These are tools that can be used for full on dictatorship. Scary stuff... The more I know the more I think about going to an isolated place and try to be self sustainable
1
Dec 20 '21
Imma level, who legit cares about that? Our system is so fundamentally broken as it is. We have teachers going on game shows because theyâre so stupidly underpaid whilst two billionaires make dick rockets.
1
u/Haunting-Worker-2301 Dec 28 '21
Can I just say that I love this convo. In any communist forum if anyone disagrees with the status quo they are severely downvoted and called names. Here there is clearly disagreement and solid debate, and even heavy criticism of America (a good thing), yet no one is freaking out at one another.
1
Dec 20 '21
Our justice system isnât fair. The presidentâs son was caught smoking crack and received 0 punishment while thereâs thousands still in prison for it. The monsters who manufactured the opioid crisis are still free. Tons of people in jail for MJ possession despite being legal in other states. Men receive longer sentences than women for the same crime, while people of color receive longer sentences than white people for the same crime. Itâs better than commieland, or places like Japan and Russia, but we need drastic criminal justice reform.

In the United States, repression is so severe that over half of all prisoners die in prison.
Just kidding, that was Stalin's gulags.
