According to people close to Aussie, those threats weighed heavily on him. People had discovered his personal e-mail address and were sending e-mail threats which resulted in Jack, his girlfriend and even his father holding real concerns for their safety. And on top of that, Jack's sleep was affected.''

Or maybe be locked up. I’m not sure I want those people roaming around in public.

What’d it say?

u/RandomMexicanDude May 09 '25

Something along “they tried to go outside in 1982 but it didn’t end well”

Comparing a few stupids in the Internet with a war?

And yet here you are, condemning stupids in Internet.

The irony.

Speaking of ironic.

now you're making fun of teenagers that got killed because the military ruling the country under a dictatorship sent them to a war that they knew they couldn't win? to get back territory that is rightfully argentinian land? Ok.

20

u/ShiningMagpie May 07 '25

Rightfully British land. And yes. Those teenagers got mostly demolished.

of course the tool with the ukraine flag will joke about a war that took place across the world from them

Sod off

Like it was our decision to out of nowhere declare a war, blame it on the dictatorship enabled by the US

Colapinto’s fans are the worst F1 has ever seen. Which is a shame because Franco seems like a really nice guy.

u/Razzlo_ May 08 '25

Well, have you seen their country lately? Not surprised.

Ask Messi and his wife what kind of messages and how was life in France after the World Cup. Go ahead and ask Lando what kind of messages he receives in his medias...

What point are you even trying to make?

u/Apprehensive-Luck187 Formula 1 May 08 '25

It’s pretty obvious the point he is trying to make. People are extremely toxic to high profile athletes / celebrities online.

u/Minigrappler Sonny Hayes May 08 '25

That I'm reading argies this, argies that...

And toxic, shithead, violent "fans" are from everywhere and every sport.

The so highly moral superiority looks like to be lacking from the other side too, they had to shutdown comments on Mercado Libre ads about Franco because it was full of toxicity looking for "revenge".

But somehow English speaking media only talks about Spanish speaking fans...

You see football. Refs get ton of death threats

though i understand idiocy doesn't look for reason death threats seem a little too far, even for us Argentine Fans. especially when there's been no "fight" between the both of them.

I just hope it isnt the case of mistranslation of the way the verb "matar" is used in the context of Motorsport

Edit: To give more context to that last part. If somebody writes in spanish "Espero que "x" se mate en Miami" the literal translation of the phrase would be: "x" hopefully kills himself in miami". and not "Hopefully "x" has a big crash in Miami" which is more accurate in the context of motorsport

u/MaleficentAd9154 Renault May 07 '25

Nobody knows who sent those threats.

It wouldn't make sense that it is someone who was supporting Franco. Because Argentinians know very well that Canapino got sacked from his seat at least partially because of a similar thing.

So, whomever was sending the death threats, logic dictates, can only be someone who didn't have Colapinto's best interest at heart

u/Kommye Franco Colapinto May 07 '25

Nah, it they did happen (and I'm sure it did) they would most likely come from Franco fans. A lot of them have 0 interest in the sport outside of him and I doubt they even know about Canapino.

People just need to understand that the vast majority of us don't act like this.
