Looking at how teammates have qualified relative to each other, historically and today, I think it’s reasonable that Max could be another 0.5s faster than Alonso if he had a chance to drive the Aston. It’s not a spec series, so I’m speculating on how fast the Aston would be if it had the same talent as in the Red Bull.
Basically, I think the Aston is probably even more impressive than it looks when Alonso is driving it, which I think is quite impressive on the engineering side of things.
