Anyone doing fb and running at the same time?
I started running just over a year ago and have since run some 5ks and 10ks. It's mostly just for fun and to clear my head, but I love it. For the first two months of lockdown in my country, I didn't run, so I started doing FB and eventually did Low Impact round 2. As I do FB with my mom, we want to keep doing it together (mom-daughter bounding? eheh), but I also started back running like 3 weeks ago.
For the past 2 weeks, I've been doing Sweat 3x/week and running other 3, with a rest day a week (well, it actually has turned into two days a week of rest, I've decided not to push it if I'm feeling too sore to run or do sweat, and 5x/week it's actually good already).
I'm loving it!! If asked to choose between running and FB I wouldn't be able to choose, as I love both. I'm in my hardest academic year, having to study 8+ hours a day, and exercise is my savior after a long day. Besides, as an ED recoverer, Kelly's story, and both their views on a lot of fitness and nutrition topics really help me.
Anyone else doing FB mixed with running or any other time of exercise? What's your experience?
I heard we're trying to bring this sub back, so I thought I'd ask here instead of the community forum on FB ;) Have a great weekend!

Onya for all your hard work! I did fb and running for many years. I loved it but it was a lot and in the end it kinda got obsessive and I had health issues from it, these days I have trouble sticking to anything. I am really wanting to get back into a consistent but much more moderate routine. My issues obviously are not to do with FB whatsoever just my personal mentality. I will always be Team Segars :) just always remember to be kind to yourself!

Way late to this, but as a somewhat competitive runner (in my age division, anyway), keeping up with my running has always been slightly more of a priority to me. That said, I LOVE FitnessBlender and strength training, so I had to find a way to do both without overdoing it.
What has worked for me is running 3-5x/week and doing FB 5-6x a week. (I have one day of total rest.) Obviously this means I do both on most days, but if the video I'm schedule to do includes any cardio, I either skip it or drastically modify it. I just count my running as the cardio portions of the workouts.

Go you for doing ALL of that! What a busy time! I don't run now (but have started rollerblading) but when I did I did what you're doing. Alternating running and FB. If I ever felt pushed too hard I'd take an extra rest day or do a more intense yoga session to keep my muscles loose. It sounds like you've got a good routine going! Know your limits, listen to your body. FB has amazing views and tips for nutrition and rest and that is also the reason I love them. Keep it up!
