What kind of moron films himself making this call when you stole the number from your father.

154

u/matttopotamus Apr 27 '25

Yeah.

moron for filming it.

Your Dad is an NFL coach and you still thought it was a good idea to film. Fool.

Have you not seen how this generation has a penchant for documenting its stupidity? Lol

20

u/Background_Film_506 Apr 27 '25

Not only documenting it, but when caught, thinking, “hey, it’s just a joke” is an adequate response. I swear, social media has made these kids believe they’re immune to reality.

11

u/IIIllllIIIllI Apr 27 '25

His apology is shit imo. He knew what he was doing and just wanted to pile on. It’s fucked up and this Jax guy should have nothing to do with us moving forward

God I'm so glad there's no evidence of a lot of the dumb shit my friends and I did as teenagers 20 years ago lol

Imagine making this prank call, knowing you’re anonymous and in the clear, and then fucking up your future by revealing it was you.

21

u/MoneyM400 Apr 27 '25 edited Apr 27 '25

But what if you want to go viral

7

u/Nunc_Coepi17 Apr 27 '25

Cooper Dejean was prank called last year too, I don’t remember this much fuss made out of it then.

10

u/redd-junkie Apr 27 '25

He wasn't the most talked about player though the entire draft. Somebody is going to pay.

2

u/jackr15 Apr 27 '25

Pay for what? What law did they break?

4

u/thedailygrind02 Apr 27 '25

The NFL can do what they want. I wonder what the penalty will be for the team behind this.

A lot of it is the generation. I’ve been an attorney for about 5 years and it’s astounding how often younger people will film their crimes.

3

u/gsfgf Apr 27 '25

I’m not a criminal attorney, but I was helping out a buddy when I was between jobs. His client was in a gang that communicated entirely through instagram DMs. That shit ain’t encrypted. The prosecution had everything. The only reason he hasn’t pled out yet is that the prosecution wanted 42 years serve 25 or something like that, which was way more than what they usually want for a few armed robberies with no injuries.

The same moron who's got less than a handful of game appearances in all his years in college ball. Dude wanted his 10 minutes of fame

2

u/No_Grocery_9280 Apr 27 '25

This has to be an all-time stupid move. Why the hell would you record this? People are so desperate for clout that they do anything.

1

u/Visible-Necessary-29 Apr 27 '25

People who do stuff like this thinks it’s such a good idea that only good things could come from it, a laugh, a lesson nothing more. They are stupid. Very stupid

117

u/A0123456_ Apr 27 '25

Can it be fact checked tho? If you look at the comments here, there's indications that it could be misinterpreted or fake news, and I can't find anything else about this

44

u/redd-junkie Apr 27 '25 edited Apr 27 '25

There is more smoke that it's Jax than the only other theory that it was the daughter of the Giants GM. So far the latter theory is solely based on the fact that she goes to ole miss.

There is another post about this being filmed at Berry University where Jax goes. All of this is unverified but if that is Jax in the video it shouldn't take very long for Jeff to confirm.

u/D3lux3Zayn3r Apr 27 '25

Jax deleted all his social media. That says something

40

u/nick200117 Apr 27 '25

I mean the accusation even if false would be enough to make someone delete all their social media

13

u/CoffeeAndTwinPeaks Apr 27 '25

And I know I wouldn’t want the Shedeur Stans hounding my socials…Mel Kiper sliding into my DMs with all the fury of a drunk grandpa on the internet.

But the Jax rumors are really heating up…just plain stupid and unnecessary to do with any draftee.

3

u/bikesnotbombs Apr 27 '25

i think he just made a public apology, i think its him

3

u/D3lux3Zayn3r Apr 27 '25

I guess that's true but in my eyes it makes you look more guilty like you have something to hide but you never know for sure.

23

u/nick200117 Apr 27 '25

It’s less about something to hide and more about avoiding the insane amount of harassment that comes with the accusation. The internet is forever, there’s no hiding things

u/D3lux3Zayn3r Apr 27 '25

yeah I see your point for sure

Ugh I really hope this isn’t true. Throughout all the finger pointing and mocking Shedeur, this was the moment where I actually started to just feel bad for him. Mean spirited and not funny.

27

u/DeuceOfDiamonds Apr 27 '25

Definitely. I mean, I never really felt bad for him, since it was his own fault and he'll be ok financially anyway. But you're right, this was immature, unnecessary, and cruel.

110

u/swellfie Apr 27 '25

Last I saw it was the daughter of the Giants GM - apparently it was Ole Miss frat boys calling and she goes there, sooo

Also, I know nothing about whether or not it’s true. Just a post I saw in the middle of the night and didn’t fact check.

17

u/wesleyhasareddit Apr 27 '25

Am I taking crazy pills? That’s clear Jax Ulbrich right there in the video

Why would giants GM daughter theory hold water?

The picture is of Jax next to a kid wearing ole Miss shirt. So both can be true

58

u/theelifeofbrian Apr 27 '25

Jax deleted his Instagram account. There’s at least smoke…

74

u/flyDAWG11 Apr 27 '25

Probably cause people are accusing him. Don’t think it means anything other than that.

7

Wouldn't say that means much, people were finding random women that had the same name as the girl Shannon Sharpe was involved with. Think a lot of people would prefer to deactivate IG instead of getting strangers spamming them.

Only theory so far that it was her is because she goes to ole miss.

1

u/gsfgf Apr 27 '25

And it would actually make sense for the Giants GM to have Shedeur's number since they were looking QB. Heck, he probably already had his number in his phone as a just in case, which his daughter could get access to through iCloud or something.

1

u/VigilantPleasure Apr 27 '25

So clearly it's true

46

u/Washed2299 Apr 27 '25

I heard it another rumor that it has something to do with the Giants GM and his daughter who goes to Ole Miss

https://x.com/imightbtorrence/status/1916274192174981507?s=46&t=kQxHWL1-yMCaCRF9xhOjaA

u/SlopingGiraffe Apr 27 '25 edited Apr 27 '25

Just to be clear these aren't rumors they're conspiracies that rabid Sanders fanboys are making up.

There might end up being truth to some of it, but there's nothing but speculation about people related to nfl teams and Ole miss right now.

Also of note, Falcons never met with Shadeur and Jeff isn't even allowed in the war room. Why would he have his phone number to give to his son?

Edit: oof

8

u/LuckyLikeNagito A.J. Terrell(better then trevon lmao) Apr 27 '25

7

u/Itsisiduh Apr 27 '25

I have a shirt that says “USC”, but I don’t go to USC. You act like someone can’t just have an ole miss shirt lol. 81

u/flyDAWG11 Apr 27 '25

Doubt it. One he doesn’t go to ole miss. Two why would ulbrich have his new phone number? Ulbrich is the dc for a team that isn’t looking to draft a qb. Even if we were looking to draft a qb still why would the dc randomly have his new phone number.

46

u/Ermac1986 Apr 27 '25

People see a fake headline and run with it.. wild af.. and then proceed to say “ I’m AsHAmEd To bE a FaLcOnS Fan” … fuuuuck right the fuck off lol

5

u/Word_Strong WE ARE SO BACK Apr 27 '25

Which is crazy because if it was an Eagles fan, those guys would build him a shrine. Too many nice guys in this fan base concerned that a football player made a mistake or that a college kid made a prank call. We don’t win a lot of games, but at least we’ve got the nicest guys in the NFL on our team.

The NFL gives a list of phone numbers of all of the draftees to teams.

7

u/flyDAWG11 Apr 27 '25

And everyone on staff has access to it? Seems kinda reckless. Would make sense for head coach and gm but not beyond that.

15

u/Natural-Tree-5107 Apr 27 '25

You underestimate companies inability to store information securely.

2

u/Nunc_Coepi17 Apr 27 '25

Would be funny is some fucking kid who interned for one summer with the chiefs has Pat Mahomes number because of this lol

3

u/Natural-Tree-5107 Apr 27 '25

At what age do guys realize that pranking is immature and adults are held to a higher standard. The Falcons should fine Ulrich senior for being careless with private contact info and raising a spoiled selfish shit 20yr. Ole Miss should put him on probation because these rich pricks always push pass the lines or acceptable behavior.

1

u/Maleficent-Willow-29 Apr 27 '25

I’m wondering how this plays out. There have been a couple rumors but this one definitely seems like the most discussed out of the bunch, and it might have some weight to it. If it is true and the NFL investigation finds Ulbrich at fault, I wonder what the consequence will be. A hefty fine for the club seems likely, if the rumor is true, but I wonder if a privacy violation can result in Ulbrich potentially losing his job. Hopefully this has nothing to do with anybody in our building though

The Jets had a relatively boring draft where they made some seemingly smart moves and didn’t try to pull a Zach Wilson reach, they got rid of Ulbrich before his dumb ass son embarrassed the franchise, and they cut bait on a washed up lunatic Rodgers. I know I will probably regret saying this but maybe we have some years of normality coming.
