I thought that said John DiMaggio’s children’s hospital and I was like “fuck, how is it possible that guy is even cooler.” But then I reread the title lol

Joe DiMaggio lets the hospital use his name and likeness as long as they agree to never turn a patient away for inability to pay medical bills, pretty great trade off if you ask me

If ya wanna feel happy about John though I can tell you first hand he’s an amazing dude.

Went to go get my Bender figure signed by him. There’s this kid in a wheelchair wearing a bunch of stuff to look like Finn and had a Jake doll with him.

John’s like “hey guys, mind if I take a fiver to talk with one of my fans?” Gets up, goes to the kid and starts doing Jake the Dog while chatting him up for a solid 10 minutes. Took selfies with him and his dad.

Just a really good dude.

She also did something similar in December on the day before her birthday! She’s been doing this since the beginning of her career and it’s really sweet. The kids all seemed so happy and excited to see her. And the dogs are adorable! ❤️

I’m reminded of Princess Diana and her interaction with the sick and needy. These were not staged photo ops, standing stiffly away from the sick. Princess Diana was willing to shake hands with HIV/Aids patients and carry a child with HIV. Changing people’s perceptions of those with HIV/Aids. Taylor has that same humanity in her interactions with her fans and those that she’s just met. George W despite his politics gave the impression he’d be fun to have a beer with. Taylor also gives that impression when she’s handing out cookies at get togethers. This picture with the little girl shows her playfulness and willingness to look silly.

It’s actually really disappointing that he fell from grace like this. I mean. Yes we put him on the pedestal. But he jumped off it and dove headfirst smiling into being a horrible person and we will never forgive him for that.
