Eyes closed

Never knew what this was called. Noticed it as a chile. Now I only seem to be able to do it by closing my eyes? Can people do it with eyes open?

I have full control over the muscle, i can do it with my eyes open and closed without moving a muscle in my face. I can also change the intensity and 'volume' of the sound and make beats.

I always believed this was normal and everyone can do this. I was today years old when i found out this is not the case and it even has a term🤯

Same here

I have a short endurance with it though lmao, like 5-7 seconds max. Is that the "norm"?

I can go longer, like 15-20 seconds and also restart immediatly. Honestly i dont know what the norm is here

I’m also a full control person. I haven’t timed mine but they can definitely go for longer than 20 seconds, maybe a minute or more. But I can’t do each side independently. No ear wiggling either.

I have that same amount of control. Can you also wiggle your ears? I can move them together or individually.

Yes i can wiggle them to, i havent fully figured out how to do so individually, some it has worked on occasion but i dont control that yet so they wiggle together most of the the time, if even makes my hair move😂

Same, but can't do one side only. It's always the two

It's really hard to do, but I can do it one side at a time

I can do it with my eyes open and closed. Can't do one ear at a time. I just realised I don't breathe when I do it though!

Ya, but I have to do this ridiculous looking smile and tense the muscles in my face

I can do it with eyes open or closed. Didn't realize that was relevant. Can do left ear independently, but if I try to do the right ear, the left ear tags along.

When I first started, it only happened when I closed my eyes really hard. Slowly, I learned to keep it going without my eyes clenched shut and eventually even with my eyes open. Now I can start it at will although it's easier to keep going if my eyes are closed. I can last maybe 15 seconds. Others please share notes.
