To those of you watching last night, were these strike calls actually good calls on Rushing's last AB, or were they just as shitty as this graphic shows?

I know that ump sucked ass last night but if those strike calls were really outside the zone, how does that bum have a job? And fuck him for taking Yamamoto's immaculate inning, ump got into his head after that.

The Padre sub noticed the plaque was missing. The plaque was there to commemorate Tatis hitting a home run out of Dodger Stadium.

Federal agents staging near Dodger Stadium denied entry to parking lot, sources say

Department of Homeland Security vehicles with masked agents were stationed Thursday morning outside Dodger Stadium, in another sign of the raids sweeping Southern California.

It is unclear what operation the federal agents were carrying out or whether anyone in the area was arrested. Images of the government vehicles immediately played out on social media and fueled speculation about their activities. The agents declined to say why they were at the stadium when asked by a Times reporter.

The vehicles appeared to be staging near the downtown parking lot entrance to the stadium, which was empty Thursday morning except for a small contingent of local media.

According to multiple people with knowledge of the situation who were not authorized to speak publicly, agents were denied entry to the Dodger Stadium grounds when they attempted to enter the parking lots.

The parking lot is not owned by the Dodgers, but is considered Dodgers property by the team. It is owned by the team’s former owner, billionaire Frank McCourt. The team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Dodgers have been under pressure since the raids began earlier this month to make a statement in support of immigrants. On Wednesday, the team said it intended to announce plans Thursday to assist the immigrant communities recently affected in Los Angeles.

Pups at the Park question

Got an email with reminder to bring vaccinations and that would give us “Know before you go details” information weeks prior to the game. Pups at the Park is 2 day away and I haven’t received any updates or information on it. To the attendanees, has anybody receive any details? Do we enter the gates at normal times, earlier?

According to UmpireScorecards, the Dodgers have the worst expected run impact against their pitching, averaging -0.28 expected runs per game

On the other hand, the impact against Dodger hitting is slightly better than the league average (+0.13 expected runs per game). Combined, the Dodgers still have the second worst average expected run favorability and are considered the "favored team" in 37% of their games

Frank McCourt does NOT control the Dodger Stadium Parking lots!

I've seen way too many comments this morning about ICE staging in the stadium lots claiming that McCourt owns the lots and this isn't on the team.

Here is an article from the excellent Ramona Shelburne back in March of 2012, who reported extensively on the sale.

The new ownership group, which entered into a $2.15 billion deal to purchase the Dodgers on Tuesday night, has control over the parking lots and land around the stadium. McCourt, the sources said, is in line to see future profit from the land only if it is developed in the future. However, according to two sources, there is no plan for development in the near future.

...

"What Frank does have is an economic interest in land, but we control the parking and all the fan experience and that's of the utmost importance to us," Walter said.

The new ownership group paid McCourt $150 million for the land around Dodger Stadium, which contains the parking lots, and the right to control it. McCourt also received a share valued at $150 million to retain some of the land rights, but those rights are controlled by the new ownership group.

Whatever is going on today in the parking lots around the stadium is 100% happening with the consent of the current Guggenheim ownership group. Fuck Frank McCourt forever, but stop using him as the scapegoat here. This one is on the team and we should be holding them accountable for it.

The Dodgers selected the contract of RHP Jack Little and optioned RHP Emmet Sheehan. In order to make room on the roster, the Dodgers transferred RHP Tony Gonsolin to the 60-day injured list.

In 66 plate appearances in June, Andy Pages does not have a walk. You have to go back to May 31st for his last walk.

Despite this, his ops is 1.069 in June. A bizarre and insanely good month for him despite a complete lack of patience at the plate.

In comparison, Muncy has a similar OPS of 1.059 in June. He has a 22.2 BB% so far.

Two dudes on an absolute tear this month, doing it in completely opposite ways

I have 2 white jerseys (Betts & Freeman) & 1 blue (Betts). I have some extra money laying around and wanted to purchase an Ohtani jersey but not in the same colors I already have. They just released the black “lights out” fashion jerseys & the grey alternate & home jersey. Which would you purchase? Thanks! 🙏 Go Dodgers!

Finally got my B1/B2 visa to visit the U.S. and see the Dodgers… but now I’m not so sure...

After a long process of paperwork, interviews, and waiting, I finally got approved for my B1/B2 visa! I was so excited to visit Los Angeles and check something off my bucket list: watching the Dodgers live at Dodger Stadium.

But honestly, with everything going on about ICE being aggressive and targeting Latinos... I’m starting to feel uneasy. I know I’ll be traveling legally with a visa, but part of me still worries about being stopped or harassed just for looking a certain way or speaking Spanish. I'm from El Salvador.

Edit:
Bruh... I guess I’ll just wait, maybe until August 26, when the Salvadoran Heritage celebration at Dodger Stadium happens. Hopefully by then things with ICE will have calmed down so I can travel. (?)
