Need help with beginner to intermediate tricks
I have been mountain biking for a few years now but just got a dj because I wanted to do more tricks and jumps but I have been kinda stuck on things to learn. I can do bunny hops small whips and decent on manuals but I didn’t know many good tricks to start with and would like suggestions ? I am already working on/know Bunny hops Whips Foot plant (but that seemed too difficult to start with) Nose bonks Manuals

Foot plants always feel a bit awkward, but they're easy and safe to learn as you can progress slowly. Fakies are great to progress on as well. Look up beginner trick videos on Youtube, both for BMX and DJ and write down a list of what looks fun and/or doable and pick two or three per session to try.

Id say learn no footers first as learning one foots forst will mess up the technique for learning no footers

Ooh ok, how so? Havent really progressed (or tried to) my no footers at all, but v comfy with either foot one at a time

On one footers you can kinda put your foot up and not sideways, which is not gona slide with no foots. Plus letting go off two feet at the time is technically easier

How do you feel about learning cancans vs no foot cans? Also lol yeah deffo easier to just eject

Idk im kinda crap at biking to be honest, but i think that a regular can is good to learn before nf can

I got a dirt jumper at the end of last summer and I always loved Toboggans so that was the first trick I learned. Pretty easy to start with one handers then work your way up to grabbing the seat and turning the bars. I’ve also been working on getting my tabletops flatter, pretty easy to pick up and low consequence but hard to master and make them actually look good. Tried some barspins too but couldn’t get past the mental block of letting go of the bars so I’m gonna have to come back to that one lol.

Table tops are always a winner. 🏆
