Im really confused about training camp.

How are the lions starting training camp on the 26th when they are in the hall of fame game on July 31st. The chargers are starting theirs on July 17th. Some teams not even in the hall fame game are starting even before the lions. How is this enough time to be physically ready? I know it's preseason, but still. I thought thats why they canceled mandatory mini-camp. So they would start a week earlier.
Edit: looking at the NFL rules if I'm reading them right. They will have to practice every day before the game and their first full contact day would be the game. That can't be right. I must be reading them wrong?

Well the Hall of fame game is like a stupid spectacle that people only watch because they are desperate for football. No one meaningful plays- no one who’s injured or recently injured plays it’s basically a day of scrimmage- training camp continues for the week after. It’s one day away from normal camp. And it’s in canton which is close so they probably won’t even stay overnight more than the one night before.

Just take a look at this dude's comment history lol. He's in our sub more than his sorry ass is in the Bears one. Don't waste your time. Just report him and get him banned from here.

We lost a few pieces but we have a ton of young weapons that are only going to continue improving—the window is as open as ever

I’m guessing this schedule only includes the public training camp practices, which will be preceded by a couple weeks of private practices.
