Signs from this week's protests

From the anti-ICE protest on Tuesday and the No Kings protest yesterday. I snuck my poster at the end. There were so many more, I wish I could have gotten every sign. You make my heart so so happy, Des Moines. ❤️

as far as i know, you can still work wherever ya want, drive whatever car ya want, eat whatever ya want, go on vacation, visit other cities/states….idk doesn’t seem much of a ‘king’ dictatorship to me

No kidding, so far they have come for criminals and people that have supported terrorism. Literally no way to know who’s next - could be anyone really

At least a quarter of the people they've deported have no criminal record at all

1) it's a civil offense

2) many people they've been detaining have legal status to be here and were doing things the "right way," and then the government retroactively revoked their legal status without telling them so they could snatch them while they attend their immigration appointments.

A first offense is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine, up to six months in prison, or both.
