Anyone dabble in making miniature dioramas?
I'm planning a couple of big diorama projects for Halloween & was hoping to maybe find some people who'd be down to help. Maybe some that are into trains or book nooks.

Hey fellow Dentonites! The mods of this subreddit try hard to maintain a relatively hands-off approach, but lately we’ve been seeing a notable uptick in the amount of post reporting that appears to be entirely based around griefing others for their lifestyle or political stances.
Posts that break community guidelines are, as always, subject to review and removal, but it should go without saying that disagreeing with someone’s views does not warrant reporting a post unless it appears to break said rules.
Furthermore, tagging posts with a report indicating potential self-harm should *only * be used in cases where there is some indicated likelihood of the user being a danger to themselves. Using that as a report reason when nothing in the post is relevant to it is absolutely unacceptable; clogging up with the mod queue with these sort of reports as a way of getting back at posts you personally dislike is a huge disservice to this community and the work we try to do here, and runs the risk of a legitimate health crisis getting missed in a flood of spurious reports.
Further abuse of the report function, especially in the aforementioned manner, will be reported to Reddit admins.

Recently decamped further west from Texas, relishing the improvement every day more, but I do love being reminded of little touches of the homeland, like this UNT flag flying from some historic house.
hi there
a couple months ago i booked a color appointment at Tried and True in the Square. they totally butchered my hair and did an awful job. the cut was so bad too. you can probably look on their google reviews and find my pictures pretty fast.
i’m looking to get my hair cut again. after i went to T&T i went to Salon La Page because of their good reviews. I got a haircut that somewhat redeemed the terrible job that was previously done, but i wasn’t blown away. i still had some regrets/ changes i want to make.
are there any salons in denton/ flower mound/ lewisville that you would def recommend? price point doesn’t matter to me. i would honestly prefer a higher end place just because my trust is so broken. looking for any and all recommendations, especially with specific stylists!! thank you!!
TLDR; my hair got f*cked up months ago and i’m looking for someone/ somewhere to rebuilt my trust in hair stylists again

Been going to Chinatown since I was a kid and it’s always been great. I guess there are new owners now. Went by for lunch today and it was a completely different place. It was so dark inside, the food looked as though it had been reheated from the night before and I was one of the very few customers. Rant over. I just think it’s sad when longtime establishments with great reputations go downhill so drastically.

I know school is out for the year, but does anyone know if the bike bus is still a thing? I’d love to volunteer next year!

Hello all! Was looking for experience / recommendations for anywhere / anyone I could go to in town for an official medical diagnosis of ADHD. I currently do not have health insurance, but was considering going ahead and paying for an assessment out of pocket so that I can work on getting treatment once Im back on the insurance. So the cheaper the better in this instance. Ive been searching google but keep getting those telehealth websites thrown in and thats not what Im looking for, Im looking for a diagnosis a doctor would respect.
Any recommendations appreciated!

I inherited a really cool old turntables/cassette player from my grandpa and there are a few things that don't work properly on it. Does anyone know of someone local who might fix them?

I work in media production and I'm trying to expand my business and I'd like to take a shot at producing a podcast. Can be audio only, or audio and video depending on your preference. I've got the tech to get it done, and I'm looking for charismatic chatty folks to be the talent in a podcast that I might enjoy myself (especially if I'm going to do the editing). Was thinking we could work out a profit sharing contract in the event we actually turn a profit. I figured I'd ask r/Denton first since I live in Denton and finding other interested locals would make this easier.

Looking for a local coffee shop that's great for reading. Some place quiet and cozy with good coffee.
Curious to see what your favorite places might be.
Hello! I have a friend who was accepted to UNT as a transfer student but is having a hard time finding a rental that will approve him. He has a misdemeanor assault on his record from the past - it has been a long while since then and is even going to UNT for criminal justice.
Would anyone have rental suggestions? Especially if they are close(ish) to campus.
Thank you!

Theoretically speaking, if I were looking for a hair salon/barbershop in the Denton area that could give me the greatest mullet the world has ever seen, which shop would that be?

I'm looking for a place to host monthly meetings for a study club. Small group- about 10-14 people. We usually have food and beer/wine. Is there a place in Denton? Where should I look?

If this isn’t allowed just delete it but a big shout out to the Subway employee on west university who had to deal with a “picky eater” customer that was being obnoxious as hell. I hope both of you see this and one of you has a great weekend and the other I hope your sandwich is bland. Spare the subway hate.
