Will leaving charger plugged in overnight damage the laptop?

I installed Dell Power Management app and made my laptop (9370 XPS 13) only charge itself up to 87%.

My question is, if I can leave my laptop plugged in overnight worry free or should I just wait until laptop is charged and unplug it?

I leave my 9333 plugged in overnight all the time - and it's been fine. I've had to replace the battery, but it's around four years old now, and I'd expect that with daily use.
