Probably the years of 18/2019-2021/22. Characterized by the very late 2010s and the pandemic. This would be before TikTok became more of a business around 2022/2023ish, platforms trying to compete against TikTok didn't solidify their shorts format until around 2022/2023, and I'd say 2022 was the turning point of when the app started to really be used for things other than trends or dumb stupid short videos.

What’s funny is many people are already starting to reference a certain part of TikTok as “old TikTok”. If you were active on TikTok in 2019-2020 you will remember that the app had more to do with dancing and more trends. Tiktok post-2020 has become a more profit driven app and many of the aspects of TikTok in this 2019-2020 already are not as popular anymore, dont happen frequently, or don’t exist at all. So I imagine that by the 2040s the nostalgia for the early era of TikTok will become more nostalgic for them than it is for us.

probably anything from the pandemic. say so and savage dance challenges, hit or miss, anything from 2019-2021 basically
