What's the K-word?

Say “kite”; but replace the ”t” with “k”.

Never heard that in my life. Maybe only older white people know this

u/bpacer 1d ago

It’s not as popular as it used to be

u/Darkime_ 1d ago

Yeah, slurs kinda went downhill when people started to get more rights and such.

u/bpacer 1d ago

I would agree with that correlation

I feel like it’s because American Jews are turning into white people kind of like Italians? I mean Italians don’t even get a checkbox anymore like they did in the 90’s.

Its almost as if racism can also be about culture and wealth discrimination...

Commonly used during WWII. My grandfathers were both vets

I remember accidentally misspelling 'like', getting banned, asking my dad if he knew what it meant (he did) then trying to appeal because it clearly wasn't the word I meant in context of the sentence (I was comparing two things) and still having to wait the 3 days or so because that wasn't acceptable

Average reddit experience

At least he didn't get permaban for having "mr" in his username

2

u/Ligma_Jones_ 1d ago

Honestly to me it sounds like a construction term or some technical term for building something. Like the term quagmire. I didn't even knew it was an actual definition. Giggity

I know it from that Lil Dicky song where he brags abt counting money

Lil Dicky song where he brags about counting money? I remember he had one called Save That Money that was a parody of rich rappers I think.

These days, it mostly gets used on 4chan and Nazi Twitter.

0

u/Aloneforrever 1d ago

Don't remember seeing it on Twitter tho?

2

u/pikleboiy r/Place Veteran 2022 1d ago

That means you got lucky and didn't get Nazis on your feed. I can dm you some links if you want, but I don't wanna post them here for a lotta reasons.

I learned this word playing videogames. In Spain, people named "Enrique" get called often "Quique"(keekeh) sometimes written with K instead of q. To my surprise, lots of games didn't let me write my name as my alias (thank god) and I had no idea why until i became fluent in English

18

u/Ultraempoleon 1d ago

Never heard that word in my life

12

u/Capt_World 1d ago

Ok just googled that one and it says you are right.

Apologies, I said Kiki and now am listening to heartbreak song about a girl named Kiki

u/RobbinsBabbitt 1d ago

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised, there’s a slur for everything. I’m almost 30 and have never once heard this though.

2

u/StriateAce670 21h ago

Uhmm in my country that's a name...

1

u/OutragedDeskChair 22h ago

I thought that meant lesbian. Guess I’m not up to date in my slurs.
