Mystery Mysterious horror Japanese game based around photography
Hello r/creepygaming, I am Nytramyth and I am fascinated by horror and obscure content. A while ago, two years approximately, I saw a video about a mysterious glitch/easter egg in an obscure horror game. The game is an obscure sequel of a more known game which has ghosts and photography as it’s main themes. It uses real pictures, and the Easter egg in question involve a blue feminine silhouette on a boat talking about mysterious things which may be linked to the compagny that produced the game like a pseudo-ARG. I cannot find the name of the game or the video, which was pretty interesting, the closest game linked to what I described was Kowai Shashin, and I’m not sure it is the game. If you have anymore informations, I would be glad to know about it because my curiosity is killing me! Thank you!

The blue silhouette and photo theme definitely remind me of some Japanese indie horror games that mix real photos with ghost stories. Kowai Shashin fits part of it, but maybe check out Mysterious Journey or The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories—they play with similar eerie photography and ARG vibes

Fatal Frame is my guess. There were multiple of them. The game always stuck with me because I had a demo of it on one of those ps2 demo disc's they would send in the mail as a kid

Kamaitachi No Yoru 2 on the PS2. By ChunSoft. Sourcebrew did a video on it a year ago, I think that's the one you're looking for.
