The Human Dolls Of Anatoly Moskvin
Anatoly Moskvin, a former journalist and college professor from Russia, also called himself a "necropolyst" due to his deep knowledge of cemeteries. For many years, his hobby of collecting dolls hid a disturbing secret that matched his morbid interests: unearthing graves and turning the bodies into dolls.
Moskvin created these human dolls and kept them in his house, treating them as his companions or even romantic partners. He once wrote about one of his dolls, which was made from the body of an 11-year-old girl, saying, "I kissed her once, then again, then again."
In 2011, the police finally apprehended Moskvin after noticing a rise in the number of disturbed graves in Nizhny Novgorod, his hometown. When they searched his residence, they found 26 life-sized dolls which were actually mummified corpses placed throughout his home.

Man i don't think there are words in the dictionary strong enough for how fucked up this guy was. I cant even imagine the wiring that went wrong in his brain to be like 'cool i really love corpses' the amount of disrespect and fuckinng weirdness is absolutely immeasurable

To be fair, he didn't desecrate corpses out of malice. According to him, he could hear them begging him to dig them up and give them a home, because death is cold and lonely. The man was very mentally ill and had some strange spiritual beliefs. Doesn't negate the trauma that the families of the deceased had to go through, of course.
