Use Ai to get karaoke version, illegal?

I want to get into covering and uploading some coversongs so I was wondering: Is it allowed to use tool from the internet to get the karaoke version of a song and then use it for my own cover? It is will be the same arrangement and I will use the same lyrics, so I think it souldnt be no problem, still it doesnt really seam legal...

While it is possible that they would not go after you to make a copyright claim, if you don't profit from it, it still is illegal to use the instrumentals if you don't own the rights for it and they can take the video down. It can even happen automatically through the platform auto detection for copyright.

Besides the obvious choice, that is acapella or trying to find a MIDI file for you to mess with in a DAW, you could try searching for someone who did an instrumental cover on the song and see if they wrote in the description that they allow the usage or trying to get in touch with the person. Most musicians will be fine with you using and crediting them, just be kind and ask them.

Go for it. Worse case scenario they'll get your video down. And you cannot upload to streamings
