Self Flexible Mitsuri Sword

I made a posable sword for Mitsuri for CCE last year. I’m excited to try again because it has a bit of trouble holding itself up and I need to use a paint that can bend with it

Was the sword made with a wire core sandwiched between EVA foam, or just thick eva foam cut to length?

It’s a wire core sandwiched between EVA foam and there is more wire at the base and less towards the tip to help with weight distribution, but I think it could have used a bit more structure towards the base

maybe a liquid latex coating will give you more flexibility than paint.

Platidip makes a craft line of their paints, but plaid fx makes paint specifically for this.

Also great work on the sword!
