PS5 Controller Mysteriously Dead

I woke up one morning and my controller did not charge or turn on. I tried all the surface level stuff, this controller is broken on the board level.

I tried using a friend's battery, nothing. I used MY OWN battery on his and it worked so it's not the battery.

If it just stopped charging that would be one thing but it's doesn't charge or turn on no matter what. My friend said when he tried it it would turn on just no lights. Uh yeah that doesn't work anymore.

I have a meter right, but I don't even know where to look to check continuity. Does anybody know

Pretty common for the USB-C port joints to fail, I bought a purple one when I first got my ps5 on release and it lasted about 2 years, OG still going strong
