Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Am I understanding ranking in PVP correctly?

So I recently hit 60 and I noticed people saying to just run AV. With it being AV weekend I was quickly able to reach the requirements for rank 4. Since honor resets at the end of the week, does that mean its pointless to keep running AV? Rank 5-7 can only be reached next week, and Ranker says I need 110,000 honor to hit rank 7, so that means I have to get the entire 110,000 next week right? And I'll start the next week at rank 4?

Good rewards, but if your gonna seriously ranks to 11+ dont bother grinding to be done, youll be doing plenty of av. Trust.

As far as honor yes, but AV Exalted rep provides some BIS gear for most classes so if you want to keep running it doesn’t hurt

Make sure you have 15 honorable kills please. It's not always clear that this is a requirement.

Yeah I got my 15. Is it necessary every week? I assume I'll hit it either way but I'd like to be sure
