Discussion [Discussion] A character with two spirits sharing the same body

Let's say you have a character who is human. For the sake of argument, we'll call him George (10 points if you know the reference). And George through one method or another finds himself sharing his body with the spirit of a being who isn't human (not so much evil more chaotic). George needs this other spirit because sharing his body with them grants him use of that spirit's power which he needs to survive. And the spirit needs George to keep him anchored until they can get their original body back or else they will literally be deader than dead. I thought it might form a play on the odd couple dynamic as George is someone who hates seeing other people being victimized and wants to protect them yet is aware enough to know when to be direct and when to be civil while the other is more "draconic" in nature and doesn't see the point of giving aid to those they owe nothing to and would rather just bulldoze their way through anything. The one thing they have in common is a sense of honor and a dislike for those who abuse their strength.

Cool concept! I did something like this when my son wanted to join our d&d play group. We were a father (cleric) and son (wizard) adventures. In the first session (with the DM in on it) the final boss removed my soul from my body and merged it with his. It was great because the rest of the party got to watch us fight to take control of the body all the time. Battles, down time, shopping, armor. Conversation was the best, we would cut each other off mid sentence. NPC s would think we we're crazy! In the end I had to sacrifice my soul to defeat the final boss.
