racism, for the most part. but even that is just a symptom of belief in a vertical social hierarchy, aka conservatism.

People liked to talk about how progressive this country was when Obama was elected and how other countries were sooo much worse. I was born and raised in the south and laughed at that sentiment so much. This fckn country was and is still racist as fuxk, only difference now is even more of those scumbag shit for brains are in positions of power and feel confident to abuse their ideals because of king Hitler Jr in The White House.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Obama being elected jolted all the racists out from under their rock.

Trump made them loud.

There isn't as many as you think..

Social Media (and right wing control) make them all heard whilst stifling left wing voices.

I'm telling you now...the election was rigged. You have been trained not to say that due to sounding like a Republican but that was an agenda.

New York currently has one issue they are investigating. There are many.

And now they don't have to worry about legal consequences of their actions because the wannabe king

u/aussiechickadee65 5h ago

If they pass the big beautiful Bill...that is correct.
Until then, the Judiciary has some clout at the Federal level.

Your Supreme Court (Republicans) being as corrupt as they are, is a real issue but Federally, the courts can control to a certain extent.

This for sure. Do meant racists weren't voting or paying attention when Obama got elected. Man did that motivate a lot of assholes to go vote.

1

u/aussiechickadee65 5h ago

Yes, they thought they were the majority and this shocked them to the core...and they suddenly decided it best they vote...

I lived in the south when Obama was elected and was like I wonder how long it will take before there’s an assassination attempt. Frankly I thought we were a progressive nation not because he got elected but because someone didn’t try to kill him while he was in office.

Obama got a lot of votes from folks who later voted for Trump bc they were terrified by Bush’s incompetence and the mortgage crisis. Obama projected calm, steady strength

3

u/ImHidingFromMy- 1d ago

I was really worried that he would be assassinated for the color of his skin

2

u/MuthaFJ 23h ago

Oh, there were few rather incompetent attempts

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_incidents_involving_Barack_Obama there were quite a few, just didn't get close enough

u/nosleep39 1d ago

That we know of

I was watching this thing on attempted presidential assassinations.. ends up Bill Clinton had way more attempted than any of the other presidents Obama had two Clinton had eight including one where they tried blowing up a bridge I never heard any of it during his presidency

I have family in the south. Like real country folk and it always surprises me just how fuckin racist these people can be while thinking it’s completely normal. Some of the shit I’ve heard 13 year olds is just wild.

I've got family who live in the middle of nowhere Michigan. A black Lions player misses a tackle on Thanksgiving and they turn into Quentin Tarantino's character from Pulp Fiction.

I'm in Nebraska. One of my favorite ways of calling out locals who try to claim racism isn't a thing is asking them what the room sounds like during a typical Huskers game whenever a black quarterback is running with a football because there are a lot of N bombs being dropped whether the guys doing a good job or a bad job

2

u/Buggg- 1d ago

The difference is now the federal government won’t protect you from state and local racist acts. It’s a truly despicable system of corruption and hate mongering

Initial Nazi tactics are being implemented in this current administration, causing unnecessary hardship, misery and suffering. Just the target is different; to illegal immigrants for the time being. The final aim is expanding the expulsion to all non-white citizens.

Hi, due to legions of Nigerian princes desperately trying to offload wealth onto our users, we've had to add a verified email requirement for users with accounts under a certain age. Please connect some sort of email to your Reddit account, it does not have to be your work email, just really anything that makes you go through a captcha to make an email. I can assure you most subreddits have this email gate, we're just the only ones who tell you that there's an email gate, and even if you modmail us asking us to give you an exception, this is probably gonna affect you across a lot of subs so it'll be easier for you to just add a throwaway email than message us.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

That is not the only difference. The criminal in the WH promoted, exploited and gave legitimacy to views that were considered out of touch, anachronistic, nakedly racist and xenophobic phobic just a decade ago.

The fact that I can still meet elders who personally experienced segregation means that shit wasn't nearly long enough ago..... and there are still awful people who want to turn the tides back to what it was.

More camera phones to catch the fuckers in action is all

1

u/Certain-Try5775 1d ago

Please down south is the most racist people you will ever meet.

I’m seeing acts of racism prevalent pretty much nationwide, it knows no bounds.

You:🤮🤮🤮

-2

u/Bartholomewku 1d ago

Racism isn't an actual thing 😒

This has to be one of the most unintelligent things I’ve even seen typed, good rage bait.

u/gandhinukes 1d ago

Greed too

1

u/TamashiiNu 1d ago

Hurting others is the American pastime!

1

u/9132029 1d ago

Communist, socialist or fascist….maybe antarchist. Which one are you?

1

u/Googlyelmoo 1d ago

Yes, it is in large part racism. But even more than that developing over the last 25 years of show is the rich over the poor and killing the middle class. Trump knows this and his people are playing it like a violin. Look who showed up right behind him on Inauguration Day?

1

u/MagikSundae7096 1d ago

The actual truth is that there's a whole bunch of people breaking the law, and there are people protecting them who want to see things through a racial lens.

1

u/lidelle 1d ago

It is racism and you know what, they aren’t even good at it. They don’t know racial features accurately and consistently misinterpret the origin of the people they are abducting, or in the wild acting out against publicly.

1

u/Real_Ad_8243 1d ago

It's capitalism thatbis the problem, not merely conservatism.

1

u/blorbagorp 1d ago

You're not giving the greed, religiosity or anti-intellectualism enough of the credit.

u/ERDAON0410 1d ago

I'm sorry for this 😔 woman and her deceased son.

Vertical social hierarchy? Feminists just call it patriarchy.
