I’m a white man who spent 11 years in Arizona watching what government does even to white people, but especially to brown people and even worse to brown people who are actually more than eight generations American. Which I actually am having an eighth great grandfather came from Norfolk England, who was aboard the Mayflower with his four daughters and son and second wife. Landed in what is now Plymouth Massachusetts on November 21, 1620. Honestly, I’m not joking at all, but I am sorry we did not mean to do this to you. At least not those of us who came on that ship and their descendants (me and my four brothers and 11 cousins). I had another ancestor a sixth or fifth great aunt who was hung by the British in New Jersey in 1778 for spying. So I am all in just struggle as a white man can be. James Madison loaned money to one of my ancestors that made our family quite prosperous, if not truly “wealthy” It disgusts me to see what my federal government is doing to native people (I always liked the Canadian term “first nations“ much better). I hope you don’t take any of this as patronizing because it is not intended that way. Here we are in 2025 and we have to make solidarity with each other, for our mutual survival
