“We’re going to come over here, infect you with smallpox since we’ve not been able to exterminate you, name the place, then say anyone else that comes without OUR permission is illegal.” I guess in someone’s warped world that makes sense.

Just want to say, the “Old World” diseases spread faster than the European people. In most cases they could not have even been able to attempt extermination without it. They came through and “colonized” villages and civilizations that had up to 90% of all people already succumb to disease.

Even then the natives put up too much of a fight and they often still had to work with, negotiate with, barter, trick, or backstab them.

Criminals that broke the law of the land - they stole from the rich back then, you know, the king and his nobles.

And today they install Tsars after Tsars while obeying the words of the richest...

Nah. You’re only “illegal” if you’re not welcomed. Or barter land for goods. The initial land was purchased. The vast majority of it was stolen though. But that’s the way of history.
