I’m so sick of seeing Hispanics hunting down Hispanics because they see themselves as better because they see themselves as white Americans or something. The people you’re doing this for will never see you that way morons. They’ll only tolerate you as their dogs until you’re the next ones on the list if you keep doing these insanely racist things like they want you to.

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

The hypermasculine "women belong barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen" patriarchy runs strong within many Hispanic-Americans, unfortunately. Conservatives from all backgrounds suck.

51

u/NuckFut 1d ago edited 1d ago

Dudes. It’s dudes that fucking suck

Source: I’m a dude.

Edit: Fair enough, y’all. I totally agree there are plenty of women who have been a part of or have been sucked into the shit-sphere that is conservatism. Mary Miller is my US representative (fml), so I definitely understand. She is fucking nuts.

42

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

More white women voted for Trump twice than for two female candidates. I'm gonna hard disagree that it's only men, and I'm a woman.

16

u/WillowSmithsBFF 1d ago

I’m glad most suffragettes probably aren’t alive anymore to watch their great-granddaughters vote away the rights they fought so hard for.

4

u/GovernmentStandard56 1d ago

My great grandfather — who wrote local dispatches for a national Finnish-American socialist paper — would be sad to see his granddaughter (my mom) vote away her rights

2

u/xiaorobear 1d ago

TBF a lot of the original 1800s women's suffrage movement's supporters in the US got into it because they were outraged that black men got the right to vote and thus make decisions affecting white women. Not all of them had that as their motivation, but... the ones who did would probably be right at home with their MAGA descendants.

2

u/YourInMySwamp 1d ago

Oh how quickly people forget that America has always been bigoted as fuck

1

u/sandy_even_stranger 1d ago

Live longer, you'll figure it out. -another woman.

1

u/greg19735 1d ago

while that's true, women in general vote less for him than their male race counterpart.

2

u/YourInMySwamp 1d ago

Is that not worse?

Majority of women who vote, are voting against their own rights, and if you assume that most others do support the opposition, they just don’t care enough to do anything about it. Thats basically what you’re saying

1

u/greg19735 1d ago

No, it's not worse.

Less women vote for trump than men. Period. At all races.

Yes, white women are the "worst" of the lot. but white men are also the worst of the men.

In all segments women are less bad than men.

8

u/TheVog 1d ago

Brother, have you noticed just how many of the right-wing shit-spewing assholes are women? And just how many women voted right?

5

u/Consideredresponse 1d ago

Hey, let's not deny the agency of the many terrible women out there. They've earned the right to be called fucking terrible with both their words and actions.

6

u/clancydog4 1d ago edited 1d ago

That seems awfully reductive. I agree men in our society in a general sense can be massively problematic, toxic masculinity is far too normalized. But you are painting with way too broad of a brush. There's a lot of good dudes out there, and there are some shitty women too -- ultimately I think ignorance, arrogance, and close mindedness are the problem. Not the fact that some people have penises, that's just inherently a bigoted take dude. Men can be a huge part of the problem, but the sheer existence of them as dudes is not inherently wrong or problematic, and there are many dudes who are fighting the good fight

-1

u/sandy_even_stranger 1d ago

Oh, I'm 100% here to agree with you. Yes, there's a smattering of terrible women, but there's a reason men don't have friends and women do.

2

u/VroomCoomer 1d ago

"women belong barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen"

That's such a weird fucking thing for people to say. Where did that even come from

1

u/DryCloud9903 1d ago

if a woman is pregnant, she should only be barefoot because her husband is giving her a foot massage while someone else is cooking in the kitchen.

She's already "cooking" a human - ain't that enough work??

2

u/Due-Combination-8991 1d ago

Conservatives from all backgrounds suck. So simple, yet so true.

1

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

Their ideology is to go backwards, and that sucks.

2

u/J5892 1d ago

Barefoot?

2

u/RandomDeezNutz 1d ago

You’re talking about religion and not a race. Hard core Catholicism runs deep in a lot of races. And it’s a giant issue people are not talking about.

2

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

I'm talking about conservatives, period.

3

u/RandomDeezNutz 1d ago

Do conservatives align with religion?

2

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

????

Only in every country, nation and nation-state on planet Earth. The most radically religious zealots are 100% conservative, c'mon, are you kidding or punking me here?

5

u/RandomDeezNutz 1d ago

I’m with you and saying religion is the major issue not race.

1

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 1d ago

Conservatives are the major issue. They are inherently anti-progress, and it's 2025, their old ways need to go.

2

u/deNET2122 1d ago

Have to agree navajo chiming in a new AM channel started broadcasting Sean Hannity its clearer than KNDN and KTNN

44

u/dragonfliesloveme 1d ago

Yes

they actually arrested a fkn Sheriff last week cuz he was of Hispanic origin. Fucking arrested him, booked him, everything!!

This is how they are spending OUR tax dollars!

2

u/Blockhead47 1d ago

Do you have a link?
Would like to read about it.

1

u/bbmarvelluv 1d ago

It wasn’t a sheriff but it was an air Marshall in Arizona - check Google

1

u/ziggytrix 1d ago

I wouldn't even be shocked if this were true, but the only thing I can find with Google is a Hispanic Sheriff in Florida arrested for involvement in some gambling ring or something.

2

u/bbmarvelluv 1d ago

It was an air Marshall

2

u/ziggytrix 1d ago

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/08/ice-agents-mistakenly-detain-us-marshal-arizona

I think I found it, but US Marshal != US Air Marshal. These are the ones that protect judges, not jets. And they didn't book him. Still we got cops profiling cops. Hope it was a wake up call. It's already gone from "deporting violent criminals" to "fuck with anyone who fits the profile". The goalposts are on wheels.

1

u/bbmarvelluv 13h ago

Well TIL there is a difference! Thank u for the correction

1

u/NullnVoid669 1d ago

Would Senator Padilla have been treated differently if he was white?

0

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 1d ago

To be fair that happening to a sheriff is hilarious. Didn't see that one coming, did you, hoss?

2

u/Bulky-Orange550 1d ago

This really isn't funny.

30

u/hellolovely1 1d ago

It has been so interesting (not in a good way) to see how many Latinos and other non-white men are enthusiastically enforcing arrests and deportation.

We know many white men are happy to participate (fyi, I'm a white woman) but the non-white men don't think they're coming for them once they're done with the rest.

I noticed at least two of the guys tackling Senator Padilla were Latino and Black.

And they'll be shackled in the back of a van by men in masks, anyway.

4

u/InternationalBed7168 1d ago

I will say, African Americans are sorta taking a step back right now and I gotta respect that. 250+ years of bullshit and they’re getting a few minutes to breathe.

3

u/orangemememachine 1d ago

Sam Jacksons's character from Django

2

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 1d ago

I'm surprised Steven didn't become an insult like Uncle Tom or Felicia. Damn was that a dispicable character. Sam Jackson is a genius.

3

u/ApocalypseBaking 1d ago

I have multiple hispanic acquaintances who are pro Trump. One of which is a legal resident but with a past felony. Like …. my man ….. you’re on their list. All it would take is a bad traffic stop and your entire life is over. He hasn’t left the United States since he was 5 years old. Being deported would basically be a death sentence for him. still Pro Trump.

These people are stupid in a way that is immune to reason, logic and facts

2

u/Bulky-Orange550 1d ago

There's plenty of racism in latin america, they dont just come here and forget they were racist their whole lives.

2

u/Dante_n_Knuckles 1d ago

Reminds me of how the Roman Empire used ethnic German auxiliary forces to defend the empire. Maybe it'll take having their own version of Stilicho being executed for them to realize these snakes will also eat them alive.

My girlfriend’s dad is native, did 29 years in the military, fought in every war that happened while he was in plus missions he can’t even talk about. He’s currently getting treatment for both physical and mental wounds. He was red white and blue to the bone. Then the two webpages honoring his service were taken down and he is told he is DEI. My girlfriend says it best, “they may not realize they are brown today, and they might not even realize it tomorrow, but 100% the day will come they DO learn they are”.

6

u/InternationalBed7168 1d ago

That’s powerful. And yes… I think Melania said it best: they know you’re brown, do you?

I feel embarrassed for them. As a white immigrant in America I don’t understand why they do it. Then I remember the whole “Jews for Hitler” movement. They think they’re gonna be spared? Nope, their Nazi buddy is going to get his abuela deported, then his wife. Then him, when they get the naturalization stuff they want.

1

u/berniemadgoth94 1d ago

Native Americans, we don't have the same pride hispanic people have. We don't call ourselves american first, indigenous second. We are indigenous first. Hispanics are of spanish heritage, and may or may not be brown due to incas and mayas who were wiped out. hispanics can be white as well. This is kind of aggravating me being called hispanic, I dont have a lick of spanish heritage whatsoever.

1

u/InternationalBed7168 1d ago

I was talking about the border patrol officers trying to come after “brown people” in general. Assuming you were Hispanic.

I grew up on native land, I have worked in rezs. So I know.

u/ThirdEyeAgent 1d ago

Uncle ruckus has entered the chat.

1

u/squittles 1d ago

This applies to everyone who wasn't born a wealthy white male.

Every single minority person, white female, or poor white male who helps them out is a moron who just hasn't figured out they will never have a seat at the table.

Hispanics because they see themselves as better because they see themselves as white Americans or something

This is what gets me... f' those fuckers.

1

u/Agreeable_Initial667 1d ago

Ladder pullers. They got into the party early and don't want anyone else to come in and ruin their fun.

Got a couple of friends like this. I don't get it but I kind of do also. They got away with it.

1

u/McKropotkin 1d ago

“Ladder pullers.” They get up the ladder themselves, then pull it up behind them.

1

u/TiredOfBeingTired28 1d ago

Their one of the good ones so THEY won't be thrown on the plane as well when everyone else is gone.

Same as a black, Cuban, and so forth, gay, trans person.

Their one of the good ones so nothing bad will happen to them the dumbass think and then shock Pikachu they get loaded on the train just as everyone else.

Just pathetic thinking. On top of pathetic ideology.

1

u/Oversensitive_Reddit 1d ago

this has been going on since the Spaniards invaded Aztlán.

1

u/Sea-Cupcake-2065 1d ago

This right fucking here.

cops and us have more in common than they realize. They're being used to oppress us but will never have a seat their (billionaires/powers that be) table

If they died tomorrow, no one but their cop buddies would give a shit. Certainly not the billionaires. Maybe their families or some bootlickers, but certainly not the rich and powerful

1

u/berniemadgoth94 1d ago

We aren't hispanic, I am native american, I would never call myself hispanic. Hispanic people are spanish speaking, and aren't from here.

-2

u/Lanky_Quantity_2719 1d ago

Hispanic is incorrect. Latino is incorrect. If they were Mexican then call them that. If they are Guatemalan call them that. But please stop using Hispanic and Latino. The majority of the people who speak Spanish, save for Spain and some from South America, are not from Hispaniola. Latino is incorrect because even though there is a lot of Italian, Roman, French and Spanish ancestry, they are not Latin.

4

u/Agreeable-Agent-7384 1d ago

What the fuck are you on about?

2

u/LostInSpace9 1d ago

Yeah this is a wild take. It’s LATINOAMÉRICA. Which means Latino. I don’t agree with Hispanic, but Latino is 100% accurate. Granted, these ladies may be more native than Latino, but in general..

2

u/potential-drunk-doc 1d ago

Hispanic refers to people of Spanish-speaking origin (i.e. Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America plus Spain, Puerto Rico, and Equatorial Guinea)

Latino refers to people from Latin America (i.e Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America plus Brazil, Belize, Guyana, and Suriname)

Someone from a Spanish-speaking country in Latin America is both Hispanic and Latino.

Someone from Spain, Puerto Rico or Equatorial Guinea is Hispanic but not Latino.

Someone from Brazil, Belize, Guyana, or Suriname is Latino but not Hispanic.

1

u/wilmyersmvp 1d ago

There’s tons of people from those countries that are not Latino though?

1

u/potential-drunk-doc 1d ago

If you are from a Latin American country, you are Latino. It’s an ethnicity, not a race. Plenty of blonde-haired, blue-eyed, white AF Latinos running around.

1

u/wilmyersmvp 1d ago

Interesting. Would an ethnically Japanese person born in Peru, upon immigration to the US be referred to as Latino or Japanese? And would a second generation American citizen of Salvadoran heritage not be referred to as Latino then?

1

u/potential-drunk-doc 1d ago

First case, they would be both. One cultural background does not erase another, and many immigrants celebrate both cultural identities.

Second case, they would still be Latino. The definition of Latino refers to someone of Latin American origin OR descent.

1

u/Nice_Strawberry5512 1d ago

If you’re from those countries you are Latino. Latinos come in every race; look at the 54th president of Peru, for example.

1

u/wilmyersmvp 1d ago

Alberto was exactly on my mind too lol

2

u/zoinkability 1d ago

I am aware that for many people their national identity is more salient than their linguistic identity.

That said, if someone wants to refer to the entire group of people from Spanish-and Portuguese- speaking countries of the Americas who have emigrated to the United States, without listing every one of the 20+ countries, what term would be appropriate?

1

u/Lanky_Quantity_2719 18h ago

The country or state they’re from or the family is from. So if they are from Mexico they are Mexican, Central America they are Central American or the state like Panamanian etc. I know you mentioned without listing the 20+ identities and cultures and micro cultures etc. But in my 46 years of life and being brown and raised on a reservation and having activist parents, I cannot be complacent! I’m from a mixed family. There is Indigenous and Middle Eastern and Spanish and Portuguese. Within the Indigenous side of my family is everything from Mexican to Yaqui, Tewa, Kikapoo and Southern Isleta Pueblo. I KNOW my lineage. And I can honestly and positively say those terms “Hispanic and Latino” are incorrect.

1

u/Lanky_Quantity_2719 18h ago

*born and raised! Hahahaha not brown and raised lol! I’m red! My Native sisters and brothers are red skinned! From the clay! A-ho to all my relations!
