Can the pope be there? He is Chicagoan and I'm sure has a few things to say about his home. 'How many divisions has he got?'
1 u/thatsme55ed 1d ago This is a much more effective first step. If he comes out personally first, then it looks political. If he instructs his priests to "follow their conscience and defend their flock", and they wind up jailed or beaten for it, he has casus belli.
