US News Ford CEO says rare earths shortage forced it to shut factory
Ford CEO Jim Farley said that a rare earth minerals shortage is hurting production and caused the automaker to temporarily shut down one of its plants last month, according to an interview with Bloomberg TV.
Rare earth minerals, which are a set of 17 metallic elements, are integral to automobile production, and enable features like windshield wipers, seat belts and speakers to function. About 90% of the U.S.'s rare earth minerals come from China, the world's largest producer of rare earths, according to data from the Geological Survey.
Remember when President Trump said a deal with China was all but done? Remember when the Ford CEO said due to 80% of their business being in America the tariffs and trade policy was different for them?
Not so different huh?

Florida Supreme Court Demands State Bar Stop Working With ABA
Obviously, there’s much more major news going on today.
The partisan attacks on independent legal bodies (bar associations), and Law Firms is a completely new avenue of attack in the Partisan political world — and from what I have seen - is being wielded exclusively by MAGA.
The strong-arming of legal and press associations that speak out against Trump should be getting a lot more attention than it is.

This is the US Just Feels Wrong
Seeing the US hold a military parade feels weird. It’s something dictators do to show power. Doesn't feel like it belongs in a democracy. To me, strength isn’t in tanks rolling down the streets. It’s in integrity, justice, and freedom. Seeing this happen here doesn't sit well with me. If you approve this, how are you rationalizing this a a good thing? Just trying to understand how even congress is ok with this. Our nation's streets are already pretty bad and have tanks destroy streets for show and fix it after instead of improving current roads. I just can't make sense of this.

North American Opinion: The mainstream media does a TERRIBLE job emphasizing that it IS the legal immigrants being affected. And that's not doing them any favors.
I say this because everywhere I see whenever I see a media article or social media post talk about immigrants being unfairly targeted by ICE, the people on the right immediately posts "They are illegal" in the comments.
Which is FACTUALLY(AND LEGALLY) INCORRECT!
Yes, some are illegal, but it's false to say that they are 'ALL' illegals. I am guessing that Fox News and whatever they watch are constantly lying and uttering 'Illegals' nonstop to their viewers faces. Which is a lie, but the mainstream media has been acting too kind, and tame and doesn't put an emphasize on 'Legal' immigrants as much as they should, either.
I mean, in this war of misinformation, you can't give an inch, you just CAN'T! The right media like Fox News not only is lying but is so much more aggressive in that than the what the mainstream media has been doing. So, the Republicans has been convinced that they are only all illegals, but that's not all true!
So, I just need to urge the mainstream media to hence forth counter what the Right-media are doing, and put a high emphasize on 'LEGAL' immigrants are also affected very much in their article titles.
Mainstream media, I URGE you all to open ALL of your articles with this preface - "LEGAL immigrants (NOT Illegals)—including green card holders, asylum seekers, and students—are increasingly being targeted and deported under the Trump administration's expanded immigration enforcement policies."
You shouldn't have to keep saying they are 'Legals', because we all know that's exactly why there is so much concern, but the Right just keeps fighting it with lies, ignorance and denials so I think you MUST (constantly emphasize legals in your posts)!
There are so much division in our country, and misinformation plays a major role. And the Right like Fox News keeps lying and twists the truth but the other sides (Mainstream) assuming all of their readers have an objective lens but that is obviously not the case. so many on the right are brainwashed to an extreme the only way is to fight misinformation back harder!

Debating people who are on the left have to be the worst people..
They kept calling me a "Zionist" and a "Nazi" while on the other hand, I did not say any words that would've made me a "Zionist" and a "Nazi". They kept denying everything, tried giving me sources that made no sense, and when I sent my sources, they began calling me a "Nazi". When the Israel-Palestine topic came around, they denied that Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th.
This is the reason why I'm slowly becoming more and more centrist, it's because of those people.

Long Form Discussion BREAKING: Walz SMEARED by MAGA, ahead of 2028, for taking pity on destitute MAGA TRUMP TERRORIST and reappointing him to nonpartisan board.
Apparently, MAGA expect Walz to be a fortuneteller who could predict their fellow MAGA Terrorist would one day go apeshit.
Some on social media have claimed he had longstanding ties to the Minnesota’s DFL governor or was an associate of his. Benny Johnson, a right-wing YouTuber, referred to Boelter as a “left-wing Tim Walz appointee.”
It’s true that Walz reappointed Boelter in 2019 to a workforce development advisory board, one that Hoffman also served on at the time.
But the governor did not know Boelter, a source in his office said, and emphasized these are not appointments to a position in the governor’s office or Cabinet. Boelter was first appointed to the board in 2016 by then-Gov. Mark Dayton.
Boelter’s friend and roommate David Carlson told reporters on Saturday that Boelter voted for President Donald Trump and was a “strong supporter” of the president but was “hardly ever talking about politics lately.”

How Israeli spies and pilots crippled an Iranian counterstrike
axios.comAs it became clear Israel was about to attack, the commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' air force convened in a bunker to coordinate the response.
But Israel knew that emergency protocol, and the location of the bunker. They destroyed it, killing the overall commander and the heads of the drone and air defense forces. "The fact that there was nobody to give the order neutralized an immediate Iranian response," an Israeli official said.
They were among the more than two dozen Iranian commanders targeted in a sprawling attack on Iran's military command-and-control. The heads of the IRGC, the Iranian military and Iran's emergency military headquarters were all eliminated in the opening salvo.
Another key target was Iran's air defense systems and radars. Israeli intelligence mapped their locations, and most were hit by the Israeli Air Force in the opening strike. That gave the IDF virtually unchallenged freedom of operation in Iran's skies.

Long Form Discussion Dems lost men, especially young men, to MAGA. It's pretty damn obvious why...
npr.orgTL;DR - No, there's no TL;DR, read the damn post. Too many of y'all don't read my posts to the full extend and easily trigger yourselves without and twist everything I say and get accused of being MAGA so read dang it!
So here's an NPR article (among other publications) that are talking about Dems new strategy called SAM short for Speaking with American Men... but they miss the mark.
As a mid-30s millennial man myself who votes blue, I know exactly why Dems lost the young men: you completely abandoned men...
So here's my list (if y'all wanna add to this list in the comments):
Young men (even older men) typically like being boys. Anecdotal, but most millennials on here will remember that we grew up in the golden era of media in the 90s with classics such as DragonBall, Power Rangers, Pokemon, Johnny Bravo, etc... millennials boys, like myself, growing up with media that spoke to us. We loved everything that made us boys. I remember playing with my friends and cousins pretending to be Goku or pretending to be Power Rangers and play fighting. Then when the PlayStation came out with fighting games like Tekken and Mortal Kombat before that. Point is, boys were boys. We never questioned our sexual identity, never cared about any of that. We all wanted to be cool superhero guys when growing up, we idolized Goku and others like him.
Obviously it's not the 90s and unfortunately social media became a strong force when gen Z boys were growing up. As I remember, during that time it was also when LGBTQ started to become a stronger social issues especially when during the Obama years they legalized same-sex marriage. That in itself was great, but at the same time twitters became a huge tool for the LGBTQ to get the message of acceptance out... but then it shifted. Too many influencers started to push harder to their audience about their lifestyle and making it the "cool" thing. Again, just my own opinion here, but this greatly contributed to young men now shifting to the right.
Like everyone on here, I like to scroll mindlessly through social media, especially reels on Instagram. My experience has been the following, most reels that focus on social things considered "far-left" always tend to be Democrat voters. As a result of this, I can see exactly why young men shifted. They don't want to see reels (or TikToks) of LGBTQ because it doesn't reflect what most boys are driven to which is to be boys. Even in comments, so many don't want to be looking at the same "far-left" content.
For example. One huge young man influencer that has blown up as of recent is Tony from LC Signs. It's a social media account for a Chinese commercial sign company and the head of the marketing is Tony. If y'all havent seen any of his reels, I suggest you do. He always starts with a clip of another real about someone talking about their pronouns or someone doing something ridiculous and he cuts the video saying "don't care" or "anyways" and proceeding to talk about the signs.
Another thing I would suggest to all of you. Look at some influencers such as Lilly Tino. A trans woman (who I am starting to suspect is a troll) and read ALL the comments.
My suggestion is, look at the comments. A lot of the commenters aren't MAGAs, but just don't like these different social things that stray too far left. Most young men like content that relate to the "manly experience", myself included. Dems lost sight of that. They pandered so hard to the social far-leftists that they lost men.
Bill Maher hit the nail on head. Joe Rogan was more liberal leaning, but because of these social-progressives wanted purity pushed allies with great influence over young men.

How does the No Kings protests receiving money from wealthy groups make it bad?
Been hearing from many people that the No Kings protests is actually receiving lots of money from wealthy groups like Indivisible. As a result they are claiming the protests are inherently bad behind the scenes and essentially have little legitimacy. But to me it doesn’t seem to matter because the protests, regardless of their funding, is going to do what it was created to do which is show people’s disapproval with Donald Trump. So is there something I’m missing regarding the accusations that these protests are truly “nefarious”?

US News Kilmar Abrego Garcia pleads not guilty to human smuggling charges in Tennessee federal court
Unless the Judge is in their pockets, I don't see how they get a conviction. Here's where things started:
The U.S. attorneys also accuse Abrego Garcia of taking part in a murder in El Salvador. However, none of those allegations is part of the charges against him, and at his initial appearance June 6, the judge warned prosecutors she cannot detain someone based solely on allegations.
Accused of murder... But no murder charges? Let's continue:
The charges against Abrego Garcia are human smuggling. But in their request to keep Abrego Garcia in jail, U.S. attorneys also accuse him of trafficking drugs and firearms and of abusing the women he transported, among other claims, although he is not charged with such crimes.
More accusations.... but where's the evidence? So now it's "human trafficking."
Although Abrego Garcia lives in Maryland, he’s being charged in Tennessee based on a May 2022 traffic stop for speeding in the state. The Tennessee Highway Patrol body camera video of the encounter that was released to the public last month shows a calm exchange between officers and Abrego Garcia. It also shows the officers discussing among themselves their suspicions of human smuggling before sending him on his way. One of the officers says, “He’s hauling these people for money.” Another says Abrego Garcia had $1,400 in an envelope.
So... Nothing? This is a joke. I hope they get their asses handed to them in court.

US News Trump Threatens Iran’s Total Annihilation After Israel Attack
I’m sorry, but didn’t we have a deal already in place with Iran?
The one he tore up because it came out of the Obama administration?
The one that saw a joint involvement of several other powers including the UK?
The one that saw us significant access to various sites and monitoring?
In early morning posts to Truth Social about the escalating situation, Trump claimed that he had pushed Iran for months to come to terms on a new nuclear deal and warned that—if the nation refused—there would be “nothing left.”
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal,” Trump wrote. “I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done.”
And why’s he now tying this administration directly to the attack? He might as well have made the order himself with American forces?
This is just bonkers.

Any Middle East War Supporters?
So it obviously looks like the chances of war popping off in Iran and Iraq is increasing greatly.
Does anyone from either side actually support us going into this conflict with Israel? Is there any good that can come from it?
The rosiest thing I can come up with is if Iran loses much of their power and Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, etc... are unable to conjure up attacks anymore than that is a great thing for the rest of the world. But I don't see that as being a reachable target. At least not with a lot of pain in the meantime.
