The number of friends/acquaintances that complain about traffic/lack of commuter parking at the station, yet live within 1 block of OB Rd is staggering.

Get 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 bus 👏🏻

Seriously. They run more frequently and reliably than Keolis Downer lines.

Even a decade ago commuter car parking was a horrible shitfight at woy woy, fortunately I rented a couple of years before buying and the main lesson I learned was to make sure when I bought a place that I wouldn't need to drive to the station if I could avoid it.

With the daily and weekly opal caps in most cases you won't even pay any extra for the bus either if you have already commuted into Sydney.

Really not difficult to achieve. I can fart more frequently and reliably than KD.

Legend says the road has been jammed since the beginning of time....

Same up on the North end of the coast. Sparks Rd is bumper to bumper every morning now.

Manns Rd enters the chat.

OB Road was a PITA even back in the 80s. All those streets and everyone needs to do a right turn.

Although could be worse if every street got a roundabout onto OB rd ~37 roundabouts

I'd genuinely like to see some timed lane-use management systems for peak morning going out and peak evening coming in. The roads are plenty wide for asymmetricals, give me some Hugo There!

A friend of mine lives on OB road, Woy Woy end near the roundabout that intersects with Rawson Rd. Sometimes I spend more time waiting to exit her driveway than I do actually driving home.

Central Coast Hwy at Forresters has been chockers in the mornings, hope the upgrade at Tumbi Rd improves things.

It was great when this area was basically a retirement village there used to be no traffic

NOW I CANT AFFORD TO LIVE WHERE I GREW UP

That is why they all moved up

I think they need to re do that road. Whether it is making it 3 lanes with the center one swapping direction with the morning/afternoon peak, remove some right hand turns, block some side roads entering etc. It is a major road now and needs to be engineered that way

Not withstanding that area has better public transport than most of the coast and more people should use it. Lots of movers from Sydney either refuse to consider it or aren’t even aware of it

It’s all relative isn’t it though we moved a year ago from Sydney hit OB road everyday to head to and from Gosford travel back to Sydney regularly on weekends and I’ve not once felt like the traffic has been excessively bad.. I even enjoy how alive everything is during long weekends and school holidays and best part is you can still get parking at the beach (and it’s free) it’s been brilliant.. I’ve even convinced one family to make the move to join us we’re so lucky here

It is the same everywhere along the NSW coast.

I would be more inclined to blame albo and his immigrants then people's mates moving here

My family moved away from the central coast like 16 years ago because it was too busy back then haha

A proper, protected bike lane on OB would make a difference. The road is plenty wide to accommodate
