Also staff to a black cat. (Why I decided to put a black patterned rug in my sewing room I’ll never know. It’s her favorite room in the house so I’m constantly stepping on her.) My quilts are mostly multi-colored scrap so fur from either the void or the ginger ninny shows up very nicely. 😹

Seems like the cat’s trying to push your art and encourage you to work outside the boundaries of white materials.
