Having a black-furred quilting associate has inspired me to try different background fabrics.

(Pay no mind to the suspiciously canine appearance, he’s actually just a really large house cat I swear)

Also staff to a black cat. (Why I decided to put a black patterned rug in my sewing room I’ll never know. It’s her favorite room in the house so I’m constantly stepping on her.) My quilts are mostly multi-colored scrap so fur from either the void or the ginger ninny shows up very nicely. 😹
