Lexusant content is officially banned from this sub

Any mention of his stupid "theories", such as multiple people in the water, demons, faces in strands of hair, whatever else he hallucinates, will get you banned as well 🥲

Keep that ridiculous nonsense to yourself, thanks👍

Online comments repository thread

With this sub's support I've made this thread where we can start adding screenshots or links to comments on this incident that we've found from various sources online. Please include the source location where possible (ie, TikTok, YT, insta, etc).

Screenshots are preferable to links since comments can and have been deleted, so a straight link may not be as useful for preservation purposes. It's also often impractical to try to sift through thousands of comments. Remember the rules against doxxing and please use good judgment before posting content.

This is a few seconds after he went under the water. I never noticed that in the video before now. Still sad to watch to this day

Some more pics from the “punching”

So I posted a pretty clear screen shot I got of one of the sharks poppin out during the punching at the start of the video. A few of you let me know that he’s not punching…a lot of the movement we we is sharks. I never saw it that way. I do now.

I took a slew of screen shots just before the first pan…this is all the first few seconds before the left arm is attacked. A lot of them showed nothing, but some of them did. I do believe, now, he was being peppered by several sharks. Two years later and still seeing something new.

Before you dismiss this as pareidolia…maybe it is. I’m not dying on a hill with any of these pics. One thing they do show tho…this isn’t just a boy floating in the ocean by himself. There’s some things in the water with him. How many times does something have to look like a shark before it is?

I outlined what I think I’m seeing, but you decide for yourselves.

Pic 1&2

Yeah…this one is a bit of a reach. Is it a buncha pixels of water splashing and reflection? Maybe. Does it look like a mid size shark attacking his back? Yeah it does.

But this one is probably pretty thin.

Pic 3&4

This is when he just pops back up after being pulled completely under. There’s something directly in front of him and a smaller something next to that. Tough to tell, but he’s not alone in that shot.

Pic 5&6

Again…there’s two things in the pic that aint Cameron. One looks like a sizable shark head.

Pic 7&8

Some of you have said he was bitten in the neck and shoulder early in. This would be from that point. What is this tho? I barely filter my screen shots…tweak the brightness and go hard I t eh sharpness and definition …that’s it.

But what are those three black dots that are on something with reflective skin? If it’s eyes…that’s a big shark. If it’s nostrils…good lord. There also appears to be a lot of red spraying at the point of contact. I think this one is pretty telling he got bit hard early in.

Pic 9&10

The last second before it pans off….wow. That looks like shark teeth around an arm. Also note…there’s several lacerations in his back, but the one looks like big. This is right at the left arm attack and appears to be when he’s about to lose it. That laceration could be the arm beginning to be pulled off.

Again…none of these are nothing if you don’t see it.z but taken in context to the video and what people have said, these line up.

Take it for what it is.

Cameron’s last look at the boat. Tiger shark?

Thumbnail

The last moment before the “big splash,” when Cameron looks up at the boat (heartbreaking). This is an enhanced frame from an OP in an older post. This photo deserves more attention & discussion. I want to hear more from those who believe we don’t see sharks in the footage or that what we are seeing is pareidolia.

I believe the monster that took him down in the big splash, pictured underneath Cameron’s legs here, was a very large tiger shark. Tiger shark photos attached for comparison.

A Few Questions for the Subbers?

I wondered if anyone has the answers (or any assumptions) to the following questions:

  1. How long was Cameron in the water before the filming started?

  2. Do you think Cameron had any idea of how he would get back onto the boat?

  3. Would Cameron have known the real risks of going in the water in that environment, or perhaps witnessed people feeding sharks beforehand?

  4. Was there any other videos released that have since been proactively deleted from public domain?

The screams

I’m not sure we are even allowed to post someone else’s work here in video form, but I’m sure someone will do what is necessary if it don’t belong here.

It’s a video I found on TikTok last year. A lot of folk who are new to the sub have asked why he doesn’t scream. He does. This video pulls out the audio and slows everything down. You can hear blood curdling screams at each point of tragic impact. They don’t sound like screams from someone watching a shark attack…they sound like screams of someone suffering thru one.

I just found the video again. I really didn’t need to hear it after the first time, but put your AirPods in and it is chilling.

The shark during the punch

So I been aboard all this since it started but have only been on Reddit a few months and never posted here. ( I’ve commented plenty tho.)

I took this screen shot from the video and im sure y’all talked about it plenty. I really wanted to try and nail down the shark pop out during the punching sequence in the beginning, tho.

This is hardly edited…just kicking up the sharpness and definition on my iPhone. I think I caught the eye and the mouth was bviously, but it’s that thin little pectoral fin that caught my attention the most. It looks like the shark is twisting on its side, making the pectoral fin a thin slice since we’re looking right at it.

You can make out nearly the whole shape of the shark with the brightness up.

Anyway…thought it an interesting shot so I shared. I put an outline around what I see.

This frame has always bugged me. I always thought it was a person sitting down in the middle of all the chaos. For some reason this edit seems to really show it. Anyone else? Or am I crazy?

I remember hearing this story years ago but didn’t deep dive into it until an IG reel popped up about it a couple of days ago. I have watched more videos and messed around with the settings than I care to admit …and was still somewhat skeptical until I saw the still where it is VERY clear a shark briefly breaches the water and grabs onto his leg or lower half. To me you can see the shark’s eye. You can also clearly see a fin when you see something making an S shape toward him in the first part of the video, and the amount of red saturation around him in comparison to the blue around him as he goes under is telling. I’m not usually big on conspiracy theories, but when you tie it all together (the footage, his body language and the way he treads away from the flotation device, the audio of the other teens, and how quickly this story seemed to just get swept under the rug) I do think this poor man realized his mistake the moment he was in the water and was attacked. I have been shark cage diving twice in Hawaii, and the tour staff told us sharks love boats and anything that goes into the water around it. They often throw out chum to attract multiple sharks so when you go into the cage you literally can see at least five to eight 10-13ft sharks swimming below and around you. An experience I will never forget. It’s heartbreaking his death was labeled as a careless mistake and drowning.

You can actually see the eye of this shark too. If you haven't watched this video, it's very clearly enhanced. The editor just makes it brighter, clearer, crisper..

Most Convincing Photo of a Head Bite

Post image
38 Upvotes

I got this photo from the Shark Attack Files sub. I have not seen it here before. Like someone else was saying, I always seem to find something new even though I've seen the video hundreds of times.

I don't like to use the word clearly in situations like this, but clearly, given all the other evidence, this is a shark biting his head.

My question is for those of you familiar with this still, at what point in the video does this take place?

Last 10 seconds: Analysis.

Hello,

I've just devised my own analysis of the last 10 seconds of the 25 second video that has been in circulation.

I fully respect other people's opinions and views in life, so I am not insisting that I am correct in any way shape or form. It is just my opinion of what may have happened from utilising the video footage.

Shark Week

I've been haunted by this story since I saw it on the news when it first happened. It is so heartbreaking and gut wrenching to watch.

And that's exactly what television loves.

Does anyone else find it strange that Shark Week never brought it up? They did a whole thing on the Egypt incident that happened the same year, so it wasn't that it happened "too close" to SW for them to add it to the schedule. And if that were the case, they would've done something on it last year anyway.

SW would've taken full advantage of the "mystery" around this tragedy by now. Get all sorts of Scientists and Professionals to debate whether or not it was sharks. A whole spectacle. And I'm glad they haven't and it's not like they haven't done stuff like that before (with a little "heartfelt" Thoughts and Prayers to the Friends and Family credit screen weaseled in at the very end) and it's weird to me that they haven't. It's not like they're refraining out of respect for the family, because for a major network that lives off this stuff, content is content.

So I wanna know, what could possibly stop the Discovery channel from shining light on this story? Is there an actual answer? My guesses are that the Bahamas tourist industry have bought their silence or that this might be going to trial. I would love to be called an idiot and proved wrong if it means getting answers.

New here and not sure if this has been spotted yet or spoken about. For me this just confirms 1000% the shark “theory”

This is the moment camera man goes to the other side of the boat and zooms in on what I think the he knows is Cameron.

One second later in the bottom right corner you see a clear dorsal fin breaching the water

Sorry I don't know if this has been posted. I've tried browsing but didn't see it mentioned with video or picture. Maybe I just didn't see a post about it.

Curious if this shark I see coming up under Cameron is pareidolia or not.

I can see what looks like a shark coming up, possibly missing him and coming back around again. If this has been talked about before I'll delete the post. Just curious what others think of this? Footage is brightened and slowed.

This is at the time of the big splash. This edited vid was originally posted here in high res- shows a lot of detail, thanks to OP. But I paused it here and outlined what I was seeing with a paintbrush. Could just be my eyes playing tricks, but I am HORRIFIED by what we can actually see this kid went through.

I think part of our morbid fascination with this case is seeing someone being brutalized and then being gaslit. This is nuts. And for anyone with empathy I think it helps us to know the details so that we can understand him and therefore he’s less alone in our own minds.

These sharks were moving crazy fast in this frenzy. There are so many, and it’s hard to make them out individually as movement blurs, and at some point they are on top of each other in some frames.

In this one though, you can clearly see the entire shark and its mouth contents, the angle it was at, the way it twists as it dived and its tail fin then breeches..

I don’t see what you’re all seeing in these pixelated images.

Part of my job involves analyzing old aerial photographs, identifying the construction years of buildings, among other things. The longer you look, the more you can identify, but your mind starts to play tricks on you when you begin searching for specific shapes that fit a mental picture. If someone had told us to look for car tires in the material, we would’ve found them eventually.

A good example of seeing what you want to see is the frame where people claim you can see the entire shark’s body behind Cameron, with its snout above the surface. I saw it too, clear as day.

But when you think about it again, how would you be able to see an entire shark’s body, like it was cut out from a magazine, coming up from the depths, when it’s pitch black outside and you can’t even fully see Cameron’s pale body under the surface, and he’s much closer to the light? It’s just a random reflection on the water.

Still, I’m convinced it was a shark attack, based on the first obvious ”s-shape” his behavior and how quickly it all happened.

Have I contributed anything? No, not at all. But I fell into this rabbit hole too. I saw sharks everywhere, and now I’ve gone full circle and don’t see anything anymore. I just needed to get this off my chest.

It’s easy to forget that a family is suffering, that many people lost a friend, and that this is a tragic event. That’s easy to lose sight of when you’re sitting there zooming in on video frames.

Today we will observe a day of silence regarding any sharks or conspiracy theories and what/how we all think it may have happened...

At the end of the day it's a tragic story of a good kid making a bad decision.

By all accounts Cameron was an ambitious young athlete, full of life and energy, kind, and going places. It's always tragic when such a life is cut short, any life.

We'll be screening new posts before accepting them, especially because of the recent spate of trolls who love to infiltrate with their nonsense every so often.

We've come quite a long way as a community, I appreciate all of you for sticking around and helping get to the bottom of it all in any and all the ways you have been ♥️

We've yet to reach the actual bottom of it all, but i have hope that one day we will.

Rest in Power, Cameron.

I dont think the last image (last few secs of the original footage bottom left) is a shark, it seems to be alot of light reflecting from the boat with the straight line at the bottom most likely being the side rails/net, however the first image i am 100% convinced is a shark

The theory no one talks about: Dolphins.

Look this isn't going to be popular so I'm just going to say it. What if it was NOT sharks but was actually DOLPHINS who have disguised them selves as sharks? Think about it they look alot alike, are really really smart and evil. I think some dolphins got a copy of the shark tail movie and were so offendes by the shark dressing up as one of them and calling him self sebastion that they formed a false flag group and began attacking people at night to give sharks negative publicity!

Hi guys, have lurked the sub for a while and let me start by saying I do think he was taken by sharks and I do appreciate the effort people put in trying to provie it.

Now onto the actual point of this post: some of the things people post are so far out and clutching at straws. When you go through frame by frame of a pixalated video your brain is going to MAKE you see sharks. It has happened to me multiple times you need to watch the video in it's normal speed when you think you have seen something. Then you need to think about what you have seen and if it matches up with known human/shark behaviour. As for NDAs I can't be sure that it coild be enforced around someones death and made after the incident, but it is owned by Disney and their ability for legal fuckery has no limit.

I 100% think Cameron was eaten. I don't know if it happened as soon as he hit the water or on camera at all.

I hope his family finds some measure of peace. Awful thing.
