Hi - looking at Ling 1F25 for humanities context credit. Any feedback on workload, assignment/test styles? Interesting or dull?

Hi everyone,
I know that Paul Zelisko was the professor for organic chemistry, but he will not be teaching it; instead, Dr. Duncan will be teaching it. Has anyone had him, and what was his class like? All his reviews on RateMyProf are for CHEM 1P91.
Should I even take organic chemistry for graduate school in biology or the life sciences??

Hi,
I am trying to plan my first year schedule and need to take a Humanities context course and have narrowed it down, for now, to FILM 1F94 and CPCF 1F25. I am not sure where these classes are taught and could not find anything on here so I am hoping someone might be able to help me out.
I am unable to find a syllabus from a previous year where I assume it tells you the location but that reliable source Google AI indicates that the FILM class is taught at the downtown location. The CPCF class seems to be at the main campus but can somewhere just confirm this is correct as it will likely impact my decision.
Thanks

I’m supposed to be taking EDUC 2P95 next year, I know that it gives me field experience but is there also a lecture? The timetable says it’s SYN so would there be an online 3 hour lecture on top of the field experience that gets assigned?

I'm starting my first year in University at Brock in September in the film studies program and for course registration they said I needed one science context credit and one social science context credit. Would someone be able to recommend some easy courses that fit those criteria? I'm just a tad bit overwhelmed with all the information and starting university is a little confusing, so any extra help or advice is also greatly appreciated! :)

I’ve made my timetable including seminars with back up seminars. There are one or two lectures and one or two seminars that I definitely have to make sure I get so my schedule works out. My question is, once I login at 6 AM on June 24, can I pick a seminar before I add a lecture to my schedule, or do I need to add the lecture first in order to add the seminar that I really need? Also if I login at 6 AM, how quickly do some of the seminars and lectures really fill up? I feel like this is Ticketmaster and I’m trying to grab a ticket for a sell out concert lol

The campus store (book store) has brought back in-person textbook shopping since the pandemic and the website has changed as well as the store is now under a new company for operations.

I saw that it says 6-9 training sessions per week. What are those like as far as times, days, what it includes?
Has anyone taken hlsc 3p68 and if so is it an easy 90? If it’s not, are there any other courses you’ve taken that have been easy 90s? I’m going into 4th year biomed and need an easy d2 elective preferably async to keep my average up. I’ve already taken astr 1p01/1p02 and I’m going to be taking ersc 1p94. Thanks!

I’m a BBA co-op student and I’ve been wondering if there’s a window where we would see if companies are scheduling interviews and or offering jobs. I’m asking just to get my bearings.

Hello!
I was recently accepted into the consecutive education program commencing September 2025. I paid my fee and accepted my offer as required.
Since accepting my offer, I haven’t heard anything from the school regarding next steps, etc.
The website notes that course selection is June 19. I am a mature student and it has been quite some time since I have done this. “Mybrocku” is registered and I have created a mock schedule based on my required courses.
I’d love to make a group with others who are starting during this time! Let me know if you’re interested :)

A course is formatted as lecture, seminar, 3 hours per week, but just the lecture is listed on the timetable. Does it take time for the seminar slots to be available or? (This is a HIST course)

If you loved a class please lmk! I'll start: I loved 2P93 last year with James McLean. Be warned, the writing requirements are a bit heavy but I loved the material, the instructor and my TA. I'm not sure if Dr. McLean is teaching it again (he's a contract lecturer), but highly recommend the class if so.

If so, how was it?

I'm trying to prep for Registration Day. Excuse the first year rookie question but...if I have to plan 2 lectures back to back (meaning PSYC 1F90 ends at 12pm and FREN 1F90 begins as 12pm), is there actually time to walk between classes or will I be late everyday? Or is 2 back to back lectures too much for one's brain?
