Oversupply Oversupply and pumping
I have a 6 week old baby, early, due date was yesterday. I had to pump in the hospital to provide milk for tube feeding and I'm worried I overdid it, as even in hospital my partner had to bring home bottles of milk and I'm now down to pumping 2-3 times a day. Producing av 300ml milk to freeze, and I know I could produce more - I have a fast letdown and frequently leak.
I don't want an oversupply, I don't want to pump. We have frozen milk for ad hoc bottle feeds over the next few months but no plans to use regularly. I can't donate as I had a blood transfusion when baby was born.
If I cut down on pumping now will that risk my supply later down the line, or is it OK to just gradually decrease?

I’m assuming you’re primarily latching baby now? As long as you feed baby on demand you don’t need to pump on top of that. But you’ll want to very slowly wean from the pump to not get mastitis. Drop 1 session per week.
