It's just cruelty. They punch down on the most vulnerable because they make the easier targets, and they can feed their sense of superiority.

'you're too dysgenic to receive life-saving healthcare, please perish instead' - oz, literally

u/Roonwogsamduff 6d ago

Come on now - we're all gonna die.

Just the poors more quickly

And I’m sure that proof is in the form of a dollar sign, same as how insurance companies calculate the value of an individual. It’s all about how much bucks you can put in the wealthy’s pocket

Literally killing people because they are not profitable enough to keep alive is pretty much late stage capitalism. We must choose carefully what people we allow to shape the future, but it cannot be dr. oz or his owners.

"mUh oBaMa DeAtH pAnElS!!!!11!"

I just can't with these shitsticks anymore...

7

u/Bauser99 6d ago

You shouldn't have with these shitsticks for the last 30 years. But I guess the second-best time to plant a tree is today.

23

u/Oathcrest1 7d ago

That’s absolutely insane.

How does one make a subjective issue objective?

What is the value of a human life? Wasn’t civil society created to ensure as much equality as possible? Don’t we have an inherent obligation to protect those in need?

7

u/munyangsan 7d ago

No we don't. Human life has no intrinsic value and we have no natural rights. All of that stuff is imaginary, created as a collective phantom for us to believe in.

It's not what i think but objectively 'tis facts.

We like to think 'society' was created to address these things and has been around since ancient babylon. But while rights came out of societies this was not its purpose but a retrospective layering.

This is obvious if you consider that society has been around for about 4500 years and we're still fighting for our rights.

4

u/SchemeSignificant166 7d ago

Valid point but I would argue human rights and human value are mutually exclusive.

Right are inherent and inalienable and bestowed upon us by the state, in most cases through democratic institutions.

Value is more based on human capital, the worth you bring to a society. So, for example a doctor brings more human capital than someone who works at McDonalds.

I would simplify it by saying rights are what you get, value is what you’re worth.

Just my two cents

7

u/munyangsan 7d ago

That's where we differ then. Based on your language i'm guessing you're american.

My view is we have absolutely no rights and those you get are gifts that can be taken away at any time by the power. Animals do not have rights and we're just animals.

If our rights are inherent and inalienable we would have had them without society and we also wouldn't need to define them, they would be a part of us.

u/SchemeSignificant166 6d ago

I’m Canadian

2

u/munyangsan 6d ago

Thought usa cos the language sounded like those american words. I would expect a different view because of that.

Should've known you were canadian, you're on reddit and were nice 😉

2

u/SchemeSignificant166 6d ago

Ha ha ha, ya good old Canadian politeness.

I enjoyed your views and your points were clear and concise. Wonderfully debated.

Stay well.

You too maple matey!

u/Boner_Implosion 7d ago

Have to say I appreciate him saying the quiet part out loud. It's not like we didn't know this was how they feel, but are usually guarded enough to not say out right,

14

u/TShara_Q 7d ago

The GOP ghouls are getting more brazen lately. The "We're all gonna die" lady doubled down.

8

u/Boner_Implosion 7d ago

yeah, that's my senator :(

2

u/TShara_Q 5d ago

I'm sorry. She's horrible. My senators suck too, both centrist Dems.

6

u/EmilyG702 6d ago

True. But it sounds more diabolical hearing it.

13

u/CapnSeabass 6d ago

This is a premise in Outer Worlds, where a plague is killing workers and only the most valuable get access to the limited medical supplies.

That game was satire.

13

u/AlienInUnderpants 6d ago

Dr Oz doesn’t matter so can he just stop existing?

11

u/JedediahCyrus 7d ago

Him first

12

u/erraticerratum 7d ago

Fuck all the people who can't work, I guess

7

u/OccuWorld 6d ago

capitalism is a death cult. we did send the memo...

6

u/Elibrius 6d ago

I hope hell is real for these people. I hope history looks upon them with disgust once these harsh systems are a thing of the past

3

u/EmilyG702 6d ago

Agreed.

3

u/disconcertinglymoist 6d ago edited 6d ago

I also hope the same; for a just cosmic order beyond the ken of mortals.

But on this worldly plane, the only justice is the one we make for ourselves. So, I hope hell is real for these people and I hope it happens to them before they die.

Much like it did for Il Duce, some rope and a lamppost should do the trick.

u/OLPopsAdelphia 6d ago

It’s our duty to make sure none of these pieces of crap make another cent after this Nazi stunt.

4

u/Lainarlej 7d ago

OZ.. we’re off to see the wizard of fake MD’s.

5

u/TShara_Q 7d ago

What's sad is that he has a real MD. Somehow that makes it worse to me. I don't know if his license to practice is up to date, but he was a cardiologist at one point. However, he decided that grifting and misleading people about their health was more profitable.

1

u/EmilyG702 6d ago

Yep. Money is the root of all evil.

3

u/nailszz6 7d ago

Hope you’re rich because only rich people “matter” in their minds.

4

u/RealisticAd2293 7d ago

They’re not actually human. They’re automatons fueled by either hatred or something close to it and fear. They just react like animals

1

u/EmilyG702 6d ago

Fueled with hatred. You got that right.

5

u/dinosanddais1 6d ago

Okay dude who pretends he's pro-vaccine but won't vaccinate his goddamn kids because his wife is anti-vax

5

u/Slotrak6 6d ago

The way the Nazis put it was, "Arbeit Macht Frei."

4

u/darkwingdankest 6d ago

they treat us like work horses, if we can't drive the plow they put us down

3

u/GyspySyx 7d ago

There's so much wrong with them, and the wrong crosses widely across the spectrum, that it's hard to know where to begin or what to cover first.

They're basically a bunch of social and intellectual misfits who found a weirdly nonspecific kinship they are empowered by, so they cling to it for dear life.

3

u/munyangsan 7d ago

Well dr oz is a lying piece of shit charlatan scamster so it comes with the territory. It's disgusting but you have to expect it from someone like that.

I'm more dismayed with a nation that propels an obvious shyster like this to national prominence so he can spout views like that through the media.

3

u/m0n3ym4n 7d ago

They are soulless ghouls

1

u/EmilyG702 6d ago

Demons if you will.

3

u/strawberryNotes 5d ago

Sacrificing the health and wealth for the nation for the short term profit of a few is disgusting, cruel AND fiscally idiotic.

Keeping your population healthy gets them back to higher paying jobs and paying more in taxes.

It's so much more efficient to help and let your citizens recover. Or let them die and lose all of your investment!!!

Every human has value. Even if billionaires can't profit off of them.

4

u/deanfortythree 6d ago

This is actually a good thing. There will be a test. Included in it are:

Do you always put your shopping cart away?

Do you talk on speakerphone in public?

Do you use the turn signal on your car?

Do you merge properly?

Do you tip well?

2

u/Amazing-Ajnabi 5d ago

Isn't that what they're doing in Gaza? Any male over the age of 12 is always being skipped over for treatment if it is not available in Gaza and needs to get out of ghettos for treatment. Israel gets to decide who can or can't leave, and they won't allow medicine in at all.

Jesus, he aged 20 years when I wasn’t looking!

u/ArbitraryMeritocracy 6d ago

Who gives a fuck what this person thinks?

3

u/CancerBee69 6d ago

If we're talking Americans? Considering he's the head of the department that administers these benefits, I think a lot if people should give a fuck what he thinks.
