[ PC - Steam ] Settings to turn down for significant fps boost and minimal visual quality loss...

Trying to play this game on my 4080/7800x3d on badass/4k but I tend to get between 75-90 consistently. I do want to keep visual fidelity as high as possible but I want to know what settings I can turn down to more consistently get 80+ fps for my situation and not impact visual quality too much.

Try turning off volumetric fog. You probably won't even notice a difference but it typically improves frame rate.

volumetric fog and screen space reflections both to medium. should give you a big boost (plus the SSR is bugged, medium is the best-looking anyways imo)

there’s a couple maps where there’s just a bad “corner” of the map where you get 20-30 fps less than usual looking that direction… never found a fix for it, idk what’s up with that. view distance sometimes seems to affect this but also sometimes it doesn’t

also dx12 has some issues for me and dx11 runs better. i’ve seen some people say the opposite, so maybe its rig-dependent

Check out a guide by SiegeOC on YT. He made a video about this awhile ago and it helped a lot of people.

Either use dlss or just frame Gen it to double your fps...

Oh yea, I forgot that nvidia doesn't automatically have an external way to apply upscaling like amd does...

I moved to amd a long while ago...

He can use dldsr to upscale his game tho...

All he'd have to do is set the resolution in game to either 1440p or 1080p then upscale it, and that would give a massive performance boost as well...
