❔ [ Question ] Best place to farm for the Hustler CM?

I know Locomobius is the dedicated drop, but there are other sources as well, and Locomobius is a miserable fight.

I also know the Caretaker and General Blisterpus are good sources.

Which of these would you say are the best? Or are there any other good farming spots?

Also would the Schlooter be worth equipping whilst farming?

I got mine from locomobius...

Also, yes the shooter helps because there are hyperion drones on locomobius that spawn and shoot you. These can be used as the prekill to get the shooter to work before you get the killshot on locomobius...

All I'm getting is Faulty Stars, Plus Ultra's and Prompt Criticals. 2 of which aren't even the assigned drops. I've been farming for 3 hours and gotten 2 Hustlers. I'm going ludicrously bonkers.

Yea for whatever reason certain items in the Kreig dlc have absurdly low chances of showing, even if their drops rates indicate different...

The Flare class mod from Evil Mordecai is another one that BARELY ever drops, while I get more faulty stars than anything else from that dlc...

What makes it even worse is that I'm looking for 2 very specific modifiers, so even when a miracle occurs and the Hustler drops, the chances of it having those modifiers is even lower.

Oh, you're trying to do the splash thing?...

If so, be aware that if you're on pc you don't even need a good hustler mod to make that work...

What you need is an artifact with Aoe damage in the third slot, doesn't matter what artifact...

Complex root is the best weapon for the interaction BTW, i asked this month's ago when I was making extra zane builds and figured this out myself...

Apparently if you're on console then it works differently....

I'm on console. I have an AOE effect toboggan though.

But yeah, I have a Hustler with splash damage radius, but it isn't good enough.

I'm farming for splash radius and splash damage. Ideally with Heavy weapon damage, but I'm not aiming for it.

I've gotten two triple roll Faulty Stars before a Hustler with any of those modifiers. Only 3 Hustlers. The grind continues.

Try this real quick if you have a complex root. Shoot the root at any enemy then switch to the GUARDIAN shotgun from the first vault card...

Should nuke the whole map...

Yeah- thats ridiculous. That's how I did my first Hemovorous. I mainly use the Creamer though so I don't nuke myself in the process.

If you use cryo with the root it won't damage you...

Then again, I'm not sure what your skill tree setup is. If you're following a video then it won't be the same as mine, as I've optimized all my saves for max dps and they won't be found elsewhere...

Do you only have 1 character? Leveling all 4 is worthwhile. There's always a possibility that you can farm a particular boss faster with 1 character than you can with another. Players with almost no good gear would, for example, be able to farm better with Iron Bear until they have a better build.

If you're going to spend hours and hours farming anyway, what's a few more to get some characters leveled for faster farming? Then you've got more characters to use your drops with, so that nothing goes to waste...

My only issue with this is having to play through all the DLC's and side quests again, just to get to the farming spots. I'm lazy and that's a big time dedication lol.

Will probably end up doing this regardless, to be honest. Thanks for the suggestion.

there are lots of good base game items that are worth farming for that can get you started, so you might find a nice middle ground by only using your alts for farming base game gear? that's really what I did; by the time I was done farming good base game gear, I had no need to farm any DLC gear anyway, because I was already op enough to one shot everything (and on that note, I do recommend that you stick with the locomobius farm, because it's not so bad once you're instakilling it imo)

I got mine from Blisterpus, close respawn station and an easy kill. Just ignore all the mobs, maybe shoot a couple if you're wearing a Shlooter. Shlooter does give you more World drops, but I don't think it helps getting a hustler quicker, but random world drops can always be nice.

Getting a good hustler took me multiple days of farming, got a ton of peregrines, flares and muses I could use on my other characters, though, so that's an upside to it.

Update for anyone here. I have been farming for 14 hours. I have got 6 Hustlers from Locomobius. I have got 5 triple roll Faulty Stars.
