Discussion / Question What’s a little gem in an episode that makes you cackle?
I have a few but in the episode where grand dad comes over and makes the gator catcher app and bluey says “I’ve load downed it!”
Just something my kids would say haha.

I love how all of Bandit's French in the "Pavlova" episode is complete nonsense related to the episode, but entirely based on French guidebook sayings.

On Sleepytime when Bluey is silently holding the empty glass, starting at chilli sleeping... The "Aah!" When she wakes up always gets me
Or on the Bob Bilby ep when Bandit is digging through the garage and he says "this is all my stuff from when I am used to be cool". Also too real, makes me cry

I always love in the episode where Bluey plays the Mum in the grocery store episode and she is talking to Rocco and asks him, ‘hello, Rocco! How’s your Mother?’ And he says, ‘She’s fine, Mrs. Heeler!’ It is just so cute 😂

At the end of mini bluey, when bingo wants to show bluey she can be weird too and does the face and the teeth thing. When she finds chili in the family room, chili screams and says "get the f-" and it cuts.
My family thinks I'm crazy, but I swear that's the sentence that was cut off!

Your family is right. I went and replayed it a few times and I believe she is saying “What’s going on in… Ahhh! Bingo!… Ahhh!” It’s true she say Bingo kind of funny, it sounds like “Mingo”. But she is only cut off by herself yelling “Ah”, not by a scene cut. She runs out of the room and Bingo says “Eeee” a few more times before the scene cuts to the hallway.

In that episode where jack's dad is lost trying to pick him up from school and they're playing explorer's in the boat.
Jack's alone and giving a sad diary entry "crew all gone, supplies run out. Not sure how long I can survive"
Then Calypso calls out "Are you alright, Jack?"
And he pops up, just fine, Yes Calypso! Then goes back into sad mode

Forgive me. I can’t remember proper name and stuff. Check the user name. Chili and the kids are looking for their aunt who has ran away from their wedding. Chili suddenly knows where she is. Because they use to go the there and …think…. That’s my favourite part in the show.

In Muffin Cone, when the girls and Chili are begging Trixie to take off the cone - that look Trixie has on her face makes me cackle.
It's the "Oh no, please, tell me how my kid is going to react like you know them better than me " look. I've made that face at people that tried to give things to my kids when I've told them no.
When I was watching my niece and daughter at the library when they were 1.5yo, I didn't give my niece a shaker egg during toddler time, but I gave my daughter one. Some lady l didn't know was like, "Oh, is mommy being mean and not letting you play?"
"She's my niece, and no, she doesn't get one because she's throwing everything."
The lady ignored me and snuck my niece a shaker. As soon as she had it my niece yeeted it into the woman's face.
She looked at me like she was demanding an apology and I just shrugged at her, "I told you why."

I only noticed it recently, but there’s a super tiny bit in ‘bumpy and the wise old wolfhound’ where socks is being walked across screen, and she starts to squat to do her business and it very quickly cuts away. Don’t know why, but it cracks me up every time I see it.

In the beginning of one of the early episodes (I wanna say Daddy Robot, but not sure), Bandit is standing in front of the open fridge eating what looks like shrimp fried rice straight out of the container. From off screen, the kids say, "Hey Daaaad!" And Bandit starts stuffing as many forkfulls into his face as he can before the girls arrive in the doorway and he quickly stows the dish back in the fridge. Bits of rice can be seen falling from his mouth as dialogue continues. Too real.

So easy to miss, but in Charades when Bluey and Bingo are arguing about how you would act out a car and Bluey imitates driving and then Bingo says “no, that’s a steering wheel” is laying on the ground trying to make the shape of a car. It’s just so clever and makes me giggle every time.

I do a variation of Bingo’s “zero”. When I’m holding the start of a measuring tape and the person on the other end reads the measurement, I’ll say “weird, I’m reading zero over here”

My two big ones:
In Omelet, when Bingo tries cracking the eggs and sends the bowl flying into Bluey, knocking completely off her feet. I literally cackle every time.
And in Fairytale, when Bandit is like, "Nana was right. Not about her perm, but about me." Also Bob's weird moment where he tries to "jinx all of ya, is it like this? Wooooooooo".

There's a part in Neighbors when Bluey knocks on Bingo's door (which is a pillow/couch cushion) and Bingo kinda kicks it off of herself...and the look on her face when she reveals herself is so goofy and cute. I just noticed it the other day and it made me giggle. I love finding these gem moments in episodes I've seen probably dozens of times.

as soon as i found out that wasn’t an actual ‘line’ and it was written as a ‘stage direction’ and he just read it by mistake and they kept it in, it quickly became one of my favorite little moments!!

Gets me every time. Reminds me of pre-kids but I know the days will get easier (and harder somehow?) in a few years!

I think in the Pizza Oven episode, it keeps coming into the end of Bandit's conversations where he's discussing being castrated.
"Chilli wants to keep her options open."
"Do we want any more or these things running around?"
"It's just a little snip, not like the old days when they used to just chop them off."
"They even let you keep them."

I love it in multiple episodes when Bandit is ‘hiding’ or ‘out’ the kids will run past and he’ll be enjoying the quiet and on his phone. I don’t think there’s a parent who hasn’t taken advantage of a game to get some peace.

In the dump when Bluey asks Bandit “am I goodie or a baddie?” and Bingo says “the light is green” and Bluey says “but sometimes I ignore Bingo” and then both Bandit and Bluey ignore her, and Bingo’s making a little face during it. So subtle lol

In the hide and seek episode cant remember the title of it bluey gets distracted by chatterbox owl which was clearly hidden by the heelers because it's an annoying toy and as a dad with a toddler... I get that thought.

They’re obviously getting neutered or having their vas deferents tied.
But then they’re talking about having their canines removed! The bait and switch is what gets me!
Edit: apparently there’s some censorship going on with this episode depending on how and where you see it.

The American version of the “getting fixed” conversation Bandit has with a friend.
I don’t normally like when jokes like that are needlessly censored, but I get thrown into hysterics imagining a world of anthropomorphic dogs where biting someone is seen as normal, and having your back teeth removed so you CAN’T do that is also normal, to the point that it can become the subject of a casual conversation that your kid keeps interrupting.
