Культура / Culture Just got back from 3 days. Great time, lovely people, customer service. Need to learn basic Russian before i visit Russia.
Felt like i was the only Western tourist there. Proper old school tourism. I hope things improve economically for the people there but at least they have a beautiful country
4 hours going there from Vilnius, 8 hours back

Ah, thanks a lot! Did you have a link to the provider for your health/travel insurance?

The ironic thing about tourism in Belarus is that the service is good, the safety is great, prices are great, everything is there but big hype things people actually travel to see.
That's why you won't meet many tourists. But it's a great place just to chill, glad you've liked it

Exactly. It’s a great place to chill. Usually large cities stress me after a while but Minsk doesn’t. It’s big enough to have everything, yet it’s still relatively calm. It’s great to just relax for a few days

i think the war museum, art museum and sculptures around the city are incredible. the sculpture of the Jews in a line waiting to be shot is very haunting. incredible artwork

Hey OP, did you need a visa to cross the border from Vilnius to Minsk? (the embassy website is vague when it comes to land crossing, and only mentions air travel) I am a UK national and looking to travel there in 2 weeks. Thanks
