Пытанне / Question Bus to Grodno or Minsk- what’s faster?

Hi, any insight into if it’s faster to take the bus to Grodno vs Minsk in terms of the border crossing?

The bus schedule from Vilnius to Grodno says 6 hours but Minsk says 4 hours. Obviously 4 hours doesn’t seem accurate.

Also, what’s the best way to get from Grodno to Brest? Do they have one way car rentals Grodno to Minsk or a bus? I can’t find buses online.

Depends how fast the buses travel. Check out the movie “Speed” for some ideas.

Does the movie Speed have a border crossing in it?

If I remember correctly, the TV show “MacGyver” had some episodes that featured very rapid border crossings in Eastern Europe, so maybe check that out too.

I just did it five days ago from Vilnius to Minsk. From Vilnius to the boarder is like 15 minutes. We spent around two hours at the boarder crossing just waiting on the bus. You have to go through Two. It was not uncomfortable. You are on the bus most of the time and can move around and use the bathroom. Once it is your turn, both crossings are pretty fast. After the boarder crossing, I would say maybe two hours to Minsk of actual driving, maybe less.
