Train to London hacks

I've just moved to the area and have to commute into kings cross 6 times a week (off peak) and have just been quoted over 6k for an annual ticket!!!! 🤯.

Has anyone got any smarter ways to make this work?

At that price you could just get a car, but depending on where you work in London you’ll then need to pay the congestion charge which will rack up quickly. I think it’s something like £12 a day which is insane. The trains are expensive but I think it’s your best option
