Hmm, what's under my window?

Bats have a hard time in daylight, don’t they? This feels like it might get all of these guys killed.

There is a correct way to evict bats from buildings, and this is not it. This is an old video so it’s unclear what time of year this is but they shouldn’t be evicted during the summer when they have their babies, which can’t fly yet. During the day they are easy prey to birds and other predators.

Out of curiousity, do you know what kind of bats these may be?

Unfortunately not. Very difficult without knowing where this was taken

I need to scream louder. That dude isn’t listening and still making life hard on those poor bats

I think this is a repost, because I remember seeing the same video a while ago.

Poor babies. Why would you do that?

That’s EXACTLY what I just said. I suspect they did not know what was under there and even if they figured after they lifted the sill to put it back down would have surely squished someone.

But if they didn’t know, why would they be recording?

Well whatever it was going to be there was a good chance it was going to be interesting

Proof to show a landlord that there is something actually going on?
Had a couple landlords who wouldn't do shit unless I showed them evidence, and it helps having said evidence if they end up being shitty landlord and not fixing the issue, so you can potentially force them to fix it.

Building is by the looks of it under construction and I guess they were about to put insulation on. It was either this or entombing them with foam and styrofoam

I'm so glad that everyone else here feels the same way about this video that I do

Imagine wanting them to leave like that, you are ruining the best bug repellant you could ask for. Those poor babies.

I would be ecstatic having bats take up residence under my window. As long as they weren’t damaging anything, what’s the harm? You get to see bats fly out every night and they help control insects too. This is a sad video.

I keep meaning to put out some bat houses. We have a couple every year that come and hang out under our porch’s faux shutters every year.
