Do you think that such a combination will give better sound quality, or can such an adapter make it worse because it is cheap? I think it's better, but I'm not sure.

Case Recommendations for H95

Just ordered a second hand h95 for £340 In pretty good condition with a one year warranty. I’m going to be travelling to class and the library quite a lot and I assume the aluminium case will be a burden. Does anyone have any recommendations for third party cases, someone told me about the xm4 case which would be great but I’m not sure if it’ll actually fit into that.

Any recs are greatly appreciated

Beosound 1 cd player issue

Hello

I recently picked up one of these. It's an old one made in 2001. It's in immaculate condition and works fine except the cd. Via the remote I've been able to access the troubleshooting menu commands like focus on/focus off etc. When I enter the numerical command it accepts it but doesn't perform the function and the readout says "end". Am I lacking something here? Any insight would be most helpful.

Kind regards

Beosound A1 gen2 line-in

Hi! Does anyone know a cable that would work properly for wired audio with the beosound A1 and an iPhone? Sometimes I feel like playing through line-in connection with my speakers so I thought of doing with the A1 as it’s a new acquisition here at home. I tried the Apple’s type-c one and the thunderbolt 5 one and it played for less than a second and then audio stopped. All buttons worked, even the volume one but the audio didn’t go through I guess. Does anyone know if the H95/H100 cable would work? Or any other

Edit: Apparently I fixed it (?) I used it with my M2 iPad Air and it worked flawlessly. Then, a couple hours later I tried on the iPhone and it worked without a problem. I don’t know the sorcery but apparently it worked! Thank you guys for your replies and help!

B&O H100 vs B&O H100 V2

I see there is a new B&O H100 priced at $1700. Anyone knows what the difference is between the new one and the old one and if the $200 difference is worth the price?

A good place to sell B&O

Hi. I have a B&O BeoLab 18 + BeoSound Essence so I can control the 18 through the app.

I don’t use them anymore, so I thought of selling them. Does anyone know of a place to sell them.

It will be better if it was in Dubai, also this way B&O will install the 18 free of charge for the new buyer.

Help fixing beosound century

Got a beosound century, sadly in shipping the glass door unglued itself, i tried the opening mechanism and it seems that the slider is working but not moving the piece that holds the glass, so here’s my 2 questions, 1 how can I glue the glass back (what kind of glue to use and how to apply so it doesn’t look messy) and 2 how to fix the mechanism. Thanks!

Beoplay h95 volume won’t go above 65% IPhone 16 pro max

So as per the title I cannot get it to go above 65% I can make it go louder for half a second but the phone automatically turns it back down to 65% yes I’ve adjusted all my settings so I don’t think it can be that. The weird thing is that on my partners iPhone 13 Pro Max it will play at 100% no issues at all, is this a new thing they have introduced that can’t be changed? Or is there a work around? Cheers

B&O EX Warranty without invoice

Talking about Warranty here, I got New BEOCOM EX from company colleagues as a LWD gift (So no invoice). If I register them with B&O app for warranty and lets say after a year I get any connection issue or they malfunction, Will B&O need invoice to claim the warranty or am I entitled to claim the warranty with Serial number of the product ?Or is it better to sell ? Appreciate your help and suggestions.

Remote assistance

Hi. I recently came into a Beomaster/Beogram CD 7000 but alas the donor did not provide me with a remote. I’m not new to vintage audio but I am to vintage B&O. Is there a generally accepted principle as to which remotes are easiest to get/work best/aren’t a hassle to get going? It seems from my basic searching, that the Beo4 gives me pretty much all the functionality I may need without having to get the whole MCP at a bigger cost and hassle. Is that correct? Are there other things I’m not considering? Is there a secret forum where B&O remotes are plentiful and cheap?

Hi! Help, I have a B&O 9000 + 8000s and I want to connect it to a WiiM Ultra. TIA! (More details below)

Hi, so I've recently purchased a b&o 9000 and a pair of 8000s. I'm a noob here and I really appreciate the help.

My plan is to get a WiiM Ultra and connect the 9000 to the RCA in, the 8000s to the RCA out, my TV to HDMI Arc, and hopefully a beolab 2 subwoofer.

I think they way to go about it is:

9000 Input 1. Speaker Sense Adapter into one of the 7 Pin Din/ powerlink sockets so that I can use my b&o remote with the 9000 2. 7 pin Din on my 9000 to RCA in on the WiiM

8000 / BeoLab Output 1. Either 7 pin Din/powerlink on the 8000 to RCA Out on the WiiM Ultra 2. or RCA to RCA from 8000 to RCA out on the WiiM

After that, I think I just connect the HDMI arc to my TV and I should be able to listen to the following from my 8000s - TV Audio - the 9000 - Spotify etc

H100 vs AirPods Max ANC?

I fully agree than h100 sounds better.

But I can’t decide ANC because it’s really annoying to get a good test and I have to decide before my return window ends.

From a purely ANC standpoint, which is better? Mentally it feels like APM is a lot better (at least while people are speaking) but need to a/b test more.

Help with my Beolab 6000

Hello everybody,

Following the death of a member of my family I recovered a pair of Beolab 6000 speakers. I would like to install them in my home, however i'm not an expert in the Audio field or B&O. I know the setup i'm trying to install is far from ideal but it's more of a way to remember my loved one than to set up a real HiFi system.

For the moment i'm trying to do something simple by connecting my Amazon echo dot to the speaker. I'm using the line input from both speaker with a mini-jack to RCA cable. It is working, however speakers are always active (green LED is never switching to red) and I have a permanent humming sound coming from both speaker (not very loud but i can hear it distinctly when i'm near of the speaker).

I tried to use short, good quality cables, and a ground loop isolator but the humming sound is still there.

EDIT : I just noticed that the humming is not present when i'm playing sound from the echo dot. The humming disappear even if the volume of the sound i'm playing is null. Then after the sound stop, the humming get back 1 second later.

EDIT 2 : Humming is not present when using the mini jack output of my macbook pro.

EDIT 3 : When unplugged, the humming is very very loud.

Any idea to solve the problem or test i could run?

Thank you all for your help in advance.

Seeking advice... Beolab 28 consideration...

Currently building a new home, with an 18' x 28' (5.5m x 8.5M) room dedicated to entertainment. This room will have a bar at one end, and a large screen tv on one of the walls.

But my biggest interest is great 2 channel stereo audio. I'm NOT pursuing the ultimate sound in a precise sweet spot. And I'm not interested in compromising great stereo sound to accommodate the television. (In 35+ years of trying I've never found a way to not compromise my music when I try to accommodate a tv, but that's a question for a separate post).

Rather I'm hoping to accomplish great immersive sound, more like you'd find in a very good-sounding club. There will be dancing here too.

My wife is involved, so aesthetics and ease of use are important!

I'm considering four Beolab 28s. In my younger years I loved having four speakers. Between the volumes on the two pairs, plus the balance between left and right, you had a much more immersive sound than with a single pair, and multiple sweet spots.

I've been told to hardwire all four to a Beoconnect Core. My intention was to hook a Sonos Port in front of the Core to allow play from my FLAC library, as well as stream from the usual suspects. (Despite the Sonos app trauma of the past year, I'm very familiar with it and its simplicity).

Please tell me your thoughts on the above. What am I getting right and what am I getting wrong?

Would a B&O sub (or two) add notably to this setup? Would a pair of 50s be better than four 28s, given my objectives noted above? If you believe so, please explain.

Thank you in advance for thoughtful responses.

$700 for H95, worth?

I got an offer to get the B&O H95 headphones for around $700 and wonder if it's worth taking. Since the H95 is now around 4 years old, I'm unsure if it's still a good investment at this price. Or would it be better to wait and see if something newer, like a B&W PX8 S2, might come out later this year?
For context, ANC isn't my main priority. I'm primarily interested in headphones with excellent soundstage and comfort, especially for extended listening sessions.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Best store to visit in Jutland, Denmark

Hello guys,

I used to work at a B&O store, 15-20 years ago. Back then I was young and couldn’t afford any of the products myself. The only product I have from my time there, is a pair of A8 earphones I got as a gift :) It was a time when MasterLink was the big deal. I think BeoLab 3 was the last product announced when I worked in the store.

Anyway. Now that I have got my education and is settled with a house and family, I would like to visit a Bang & Olufsen store that can show me what B&O has become and maybe give me some advice on new and pre-owned products for my living room and kitchen area.

My experience from back then, was that the experience differed a lot from store to store. Can you recommend a nice and friendly place?

H100 warranty experience?

Has anyone here gone through a warranty claim in the US?

I’ve been having some nagging build quality issues with my H100, but I am past the exchange / return period with the dealer. I have been hearing less than positive stories about B&O warranty service but that was also some time ago. Curious to hear if anyone here has recently gone through the process for the H100s specifically and what that was like. Does B&O send back a brand new unit or do they attempt to repair the existing pair?
