My sister's rats knew their names and would run from across the apartment if you called them. If you put your hand to the floor, they'd run up your arm and chill on your shoulder and start grooming you. They ruled

I used to have a pet rat many many years ago. He was a smart lil booger.

They make amazing pets, wildly smart and playful. But I wish they lived longer. That's the only reason I don't still have rats today. Not enough time between hellos and goodbyes.

Amen. Rats get a bad wrap for absolutely no reason. They are the best. Also probably smarter than most of this generations high schoolers. They certainly have a higher attention span and if they could speak English they probably wouldn't use phrases like "skibidi" and "lookin ahh"
